Michelle was not only professional in handling my case she was personable. She genuinely cared about my children and their well being she fought for their best interest and mine. Michelle was just the best thing that ever happened to us! I worked with other attorneys for the past 8 years and seemed t...o never get anything done I felt they only cared about money. I came to Michelle after years of being in and out of court because my Ex husband kept filing petitions to modify legal decision making and custody/child support on bogus claims. I was exhausted and tired of him getting away with not paying child support and not following court orders all while still... trying to get custody of the kids. I had had enough! Michelle came into the picture and completely changed EVERYTHING! She exceeded what I wanted the outcome to be! She got me granted a nice portion of attorney fees, increased my child support payment by $100 (and I am actually receiving payments now!!), I was granted a flight reimbursement for when my ex failed to return my children to me! And on top of all of that amazing work, she got the court to find my Ex in contempt of court for child support and he is on "probation" for it too! He was also found to be in contempt of court for an order he failed to comply with years ago and is not allowed to file to modify anything with the court until he complies! I really could not have had a better lawyer! Michelle treated me like family and fought for me and my kids to have the best possible outcome. I'm an out of state, single mother of two boys. I've been trying to obtain Modification of the Parenting Agreement and Child Support for years, but with no luck as I do not understand the "do-it-yourself" system or proper channels to follow. I found Ms. Carlton via an online search, and I feel like I... found the strongest advocate I could have hoped for! I was in a custody battle with my wife soon to be ex and I was extremely stressed out. I was very happy with Michelle and the close contact she keep with me though the whole process. I was constantly going to court for about 10 months and nothing was getting done. Michelle got the whole divorce over ...in 1 day in court. The judge was going to hold me in contempt of court and Michelle got the judge to throw it out. I own a business and my ex wanted half of it. Michelle was able to let me keep my whole business upon taking the debut which I was more than happy to do. My ex wanted child support and Michelle got it so that no one owed anyone any child support. To sum it all up I am very happy.

I have had the unfortunate experience of being entrenched in a 14 year legal battle with my ex-wife just to simply be a father to my daughter. Sadly, this battle rages on even to this day.
