My child lived in another state across the country from me. I hadn’t seen my child in almost a year. My child’s mom is an attorney. I had a lot of things going against me.... but I found Michelle Carlton. She is a gosh darn big hitter!!! She took no flak, and at the end of an 18mo battle with an... extremely shady opposition, she won out for me... and she won big. My daughter was on a 3hr flight to visit me within 2wks of the ruling! Michelle gives it to you straight. But what Michelle gives to opposing council that act immoral and shady is something I wish on no person.

When you start the process of divorce or custody it is overwhelming right? Do you already feel defeated? Yes, I felt the same way 500 miles away from the most important part of my life, my son, when I hired her based off a referral and over the phone. If I have questions or something doesn’t feel right or I just feel more comfortable with words being changed it’s done within reason, if not she tells me what is realistic she listens and understands!! From a single mom with no family close to support I can tell you she is a God sent. Who can say that they love, adore and admire their divorce lawyer? Simply put... I can and I mean that from ever cell in my body. I do not have enough amazing words to say about Michelle and her representation, but I can say if you don’t hire her you will wish that you did. Moving forward if I ever need representation again she will be the only one I use and send my loved ones, friends and aquintences to.

Michelle was not only professional in handling my case she was personable. She genuinely cared about my children and their well being she fought for their best interest and mine. Michelle was BLESSING. She has represented our family in a joint custody battle which ended with our son-in-law adopting our granddaughter. She was able to get our daughter full custody with her husband adopting our granddaughter. She has kept our cost to a minimum and been very fair with how much ti...me she bill's for. Michelle does most of her counseling either over the phone, emails, or by texting to keep the expense down as well as having more time to communicate with her personally.
