Scheduled a consultation w Carlie to discuss complicated custody case which had previously awarded my ex primary custody, later permitted relocation of our child out of state, based on false allegations of extreme DV. When I first met Carlie, I had recently obtained possession of hard evidence d...ocumenting my ex's serious substance abuse and DV issues w her new partner. Obviously gravely impacting our child (7 y/o at the time). It was an urgent, time sensitive matter that had me seeking a pro's advice on possible options and which direction to take in order to protect our child from the disastrous, dangerous situation they were in. In our first (of only two) face to face meetings Carlie sold me on her appreciation of the danger my child was in (in another state), and confirmed my belief that I must act swiftly and prudently when untangling this legal web my child and I were in. Carlie then cancelled multiple meetings last minute upon retaining her services, w "the dog ate my hw" type excuses that were seemingly hangover related cancellations, AND CHARGED ME FOR CANCELLATION PHONE CALLS! One such call was evident she was urinating during call. To my surprise, Carlie assured me AZ still had jurisdiction, and that she was the right attorney for the job. I clearly expressed my doubts as to whether AZ had jurisdiction including being told previously by other attorneys in consultations over the years that AZ would NOT have jurisdiction. She insisted AZ was the state to file in. I reminded her how disastrous this would be were we to file and Carlie be incorrect about this, she acknowledged the danger but assured me repeatedly AZ had jurisdiction. Well Carlie Owsley was wrong. Big wrong. Wrong in the most devastating fashion an attorney could possibly be wrong. Bc of this, my ex was able to see the filing coming, prepare her own legal attack strategy AGAINST ME, and further spin our child in her web of abuse, neglect, and isolation for almost 5 subsequent years that included, 2 court appointed psychiatrists costing $15k each (the first was as incompetent at his job as Owsley was at hers), out of state attorneys fees totaling almost $100k, and dragging me through the darkest mental health struggle I could've ever imagined. Ultimately the traumatic tales piled high enough that I was awarded primary custody of our child and my ex was ordered to surrender our child back home to me in AZ, but only after our child had to endure unknown depths of despair that they will undoubtedly be dealing w the rest of their lives. As if this avoidable blunder wasn't bad enough, not only did Carlie not refund me the money I'd paid her to derail my case, she had her ever-rotating staff calling me for years trying to COLLECT MORE MONEY from me?!?! Ultimately Carlie Owsley was not the only person in the broken US Family Court system to fail my child, nor was she most at fault. That said, what Carlie did played a critical role in furthering my child's suffering. Based on these reviews and her doing the opposite of refunding my money, it is clear she has not grown as an attorney or as a person. Best of luck to anyone else that hires her as long as she's licensed to practice.

My husband and I hired Carlie to help us obtain more parenting time with our children. Carlie worked tirelessly to help make this happen. Over months of hearings, depositions and more issues than I can count, Carlie treated our case as though she were fighting for her own children. During the final ...hearing, we were amazed that she knew every detail of the case, never missing a beat in questioning and making our case. We haven't received the final ruling yet, but whatever it is, we know we could not possible have had better representation.

My case started in 2008; I've been using Carlie ever since. My case started as a separation, then turned into a divorce. Then came the custody battle, common property battle, etc... She gave me hope and peace of mind, in such a difficult time of my life. When all the dust finally settled, I was awarded soul custody of all 4 of my children. Mind you, this is 2016 and I've been a single father raising my kids since then. My ex-wife hired her own council, and lied to CPS to get them on her side. They all quickly learned they were no match in court for Carlie's experience and aggressiveness. My ex-wife even went as far as to try and hire Carlie, because she knew... that's how great of an attorney Carlie is. My family and friends know what I've gone through and what Carlie has done for me. So when someone happens to be going through a stage in life which requires a family attorney, I quickly refer them to Carlie, because I know she is among the best. I've posted her contact information several times on Facebook, because everybody knows what she's done for me. Word of mouth is the best advertisement, because people want to see results. Carlie definitely gets good results. I've gone to court almost 30 times; 2 times I went without Carlie and it was disastrous. So I went back to her and rehired her. I've spent a pretty penny in 8 years, but I don't regret it. If you pay cheap for an attorney, you're gonna get a cheap attorney, that only cares about making money. You're going to spend money anyways. So if you want to hire an excellent A+ attorney that genuinely cares about you and whatever your situation may be... Carlie is well worth every penny you spend on her. My kids mean the world to me, and she's fought so hard for me and my kids. You cannot put a price-tag on your kids and family!!

Going through a divorce is a nerve wracking and emotional experience, more than I could have ever anticipated. Anytime I had questions or fears, Carlie was there with the right answer. Carlie was very proactive in getting my case on track and showed that she and her firm had things under control from... the beginning. I felt very safe letting them handle my divorce, and with the insights and experience she exhibited, I never worried that I made the wrong choice in a lawyer.

Carlie is great! She actually cares about the child/family, I've had a hard time trying to find a lawyer like her. I finally have faith in my case because of her. She's lifted so much stress off my shoulders in such little time. I'm going through a crazy custody battle and she's perfect for it. Carli...e is very aggressive and highly knowledgable, and it's exactly what I need. I've also worked with Jack and he's great as well. They respond to my emails very quickly and even take time to email when they aren't even in the office. Carlie's staff is amazing, they're always so nice and they are kept in the loop with my case so even if I have a quick question they can answer it for me.
