I suffered a bad broken arm as a passenger in a car accident that required surgery and rehab. I originally had obtained another attorney/firm for representation in this matter. I realize that the legal process takes many months and part of the process was waiting the full outcome of my health from... the injury as well as the final tally of ongoing medical bills exc. However, my original attorney let this case sit on his desk for over a year and a half while taking little to any action and I retained his services within 2 weeks of my accident. It was a chore to even speak to my previous attorney whom I always had to set an appointment with at least a week in advance just to have a 5-10 minute conversation. I realized the 2 year statute of limitations was creeping near on my case and I needed an attorney that was going provide me the representation I needed and that wasn't (to put it politely) going to drop the ball. Enter Mr. Englander. I called his office and he himself answered the phone. I briefly explained my situation to him and he offered to meet me that day which I did. After obtaining his representation (he also assisted in my severing ties with my previous council and handling of a potential messy situation), Mr. Englander immediately began taking action to move my case forward with such action as filing suit and obtaining complete medical records. Within 6 months we were able to settle the case out of court for an amount that I was pleased with and that exceeded my expectations, and within 7 months from our initial meeting had settlement checks in hand. Mr. Englander always was diligent in contacting me to provide progress reports. I never had to call him to wonder what was going on with my case, in fact I was the one returning his calls! Even after a settlement agreement had been reached Mr. Englander went the extra mile to negotiate with outstanding medical bill providers to reduce the balance owed to them which was purely to my benefit. He could of easily said case closed but he truly acted in the best interest of his client going above and beyond the minimal action required and I am grateful for that.
