Your Arizona Mental Health System Tour Guide -- An Invaluable Resource for Families Struggling to Help a Loved One With SMI

I am posting anonymously to protect the privacy of my loved ones, but wholeheartedly and publicly endorse Josh Mozell's work. I would be happy to speak about my experience with anyone who is considering hiring Josh. Josh has my permission to provide my email address to anyone who wants to discuss thi...s endorsement--so just ask him if you want to talk about my experience. My family hired Josh when my spouse experienced a psychotic / manic series of episodes that culminated in my spouse's quasi-voluntary hospitalization in several behavior health facilities over a 8 week period. When the episodes first began, my spouse was extremely resistant to treatment or intervention, and could not recognize the mental health issues in play. As a result, it was difficult, perhaps impossible (for us) to secure involuntary hospitalization and treatment. Even once my spouse tentatively consented to undergo in-patient mental health treatment, we could not locate a bed in any in-patient behavioral health facility--despite having excellent insurance and a reasonable ability to pay for treatment. Yet, my spouse was much too unwell to live alone or with family without medication. So, if we didn't find a bed, my spouse might have ended up on the street (trust me). My family hired Josh and he got my spouse a bed in a local and reputable behavioral health hospital in the middle of July in Phoenix--a time when behavioral health hospitals are packed with people, many just trying to escape the triple-digit heat--within 48 hours. I don't know he did it, or who he called, or what he said. I just know that Josh getting my spouse a bed turned the entire situation around and put our family on a path to a happy ending. I am pleased to report that I am still happily married and my spouse has made an excellent "recovery," but without Josh's expertise and Johnny-on-the-spot heroism, I don't know what we would have done. If you or a loved one is suffering from serious mental illness and you have any legal issue relating to mental health treatment, or frankly any other type of matter Josh handles, I strongly recommend you consider hiring Josh. If my experience is any indication, you won't be disappointed.
