Amazing Lawyer

I cannot even begin to describe the gratitude I have for Jared Allen. As I am sitting here a free man looking forward to every waking moment with my family. He and Steven are an amazing legal team to have on your side. I was charged with a class 3 felony for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which carries a minimum prison sentence of 5yrs in Arizona. I did not do what I was being charged with but I made some critical mistakes in not fully cooperating and antagonizing law enforcement on the night of the incident. I was completely guilty for contempt of deputy but not for what I was being arrested and charged. Needless to say when the State refused to let the case go we went to trial. The trial took 3 horrible nerve racking weeks to get through with hours upon hours of testimony. His guidance and reassurance during the trial helped me and my family get through this trying ordeal. At the end of it all he convinced the jury I was Not Guilty. Arizona does however have what is called lesser included charges, which for this case was a class 6 felony for Disorderly Conduct with a Deadly Weapon. The lesser charge if found to be dangerous would have been a minimum of 1.75 yrs in prison. I was found Guilty for the lesser charge but since he convinced the jury it was non-dangerous it was left as an undesignated felony with 3yrs probation, which means I can work to get it reduced to a misdemeanor. See! that is how amazing he is, I know all of this now because of his commitment, knowledge and professionalism to making me understand my rights and options. Jared guided me through every phase with a full understanding of what was happening with honesty and integrity. I feel this was the best possible outcome short of a full dismissal and I have him to THANK.

Like many of us, I never expected to get in trouble with the law. People don't realize how little you need to do to get in trouble with the law. As a matter of fact, we all do things unknowingly that are considered breaking the law. I was devastated when I learned that I was going to be arrested for something so minor. The city's prosecutor was ruthless. They treat people with very little dignity even for very minor cases. They demanded the highest punishment they could exact. Jared Allen came to my rescue. He explained very clearly what my options were. He improvised a strategy that would allow me to walk away with a clean record if I fulfill the court's conditions. He was very calm and composed in the court room. He fought hard to reduce any punishment they wanted to throw at me. We planned for the best case scenario and that was exactly what I got. I was able to avoid jail time. Several charges were dropped and I was left with one minor charge--a charge that was going to be dismissed after satisfying the court's conditions and paying a fine. He personally ascertained that the agreement we had with the court was clearly written on paper. Any ambiguity he found was cleared up before my signature could even be written on paper. My experience with Jared Allen and his law firm has been very positive. They are result driven and will do what it takes to protect and defend their clients. I received my law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2007. During law school, I focused primarily on Criminal Law while participating in advanced courses in Comprehensive Pretrial and Trial Advocacy. Those courses allowed me to prepare for and conduct mock trials with the guidance of King County prosecutors in front of King County judges. Additionally, I excelled in the nation's #1 Legal Writing program. When I graduated, I accepted a position as a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

As a Deputy County Attorney, I continued to work on developing my skills as a trial attorney. I began my career at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office prosecuting Juvenile offenses where I conducted numerous trials. For a period of over 5 years as a Deputy County Attorney, I prosecuted thousands of cases including a variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses in the Superior and Justice Courts of Maricopa County. I have conducted dozens of trials throughout Maricopa County. I concluded my career at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office after being selected to the elite Sex Crimes Bureau.

As an Attorney/Owner at the Law Offices of Allen & Meyerand PLLC, I have helped manage one of Arizona's fastest-growing law firms. A friend when in need

I could not have picked anybody better to represent me. He believed me and that meant a lot. Had 3 out of the 4 charges dismissed after the 1st hearing and successfully worked out a deal for the last one, I call that awesomeness. Thank you Jared.

Jared's flexible/affordable DUI presentation saved my career!
