Aaron was raised in Phoenix, AZ and attended Brophy College Preparatory. After graduating high school he attended The University of Arizona where he majored in Political Science. While in college, Aaron was president and player for the Arizona Rugby Football Club. After graduating college Aaron decided pursue a Law Degree. Aaron attended the University of South Dakota. While obtaining a very fine education he spent time on the South Dakota family farm hunting and fishing.

After passing both the Arizona and South Dakota Bar Exams Aaron was quickly employed by the Office of the Maricopa County Public Defender. As a Deputy Public Defender he defended hundreds of individuals against serious felony charges. Aaron defended Drug, Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated DUI, Manslaughter, Murder, Money Laundering and almost every other crime in Arizona. Aaron has spent countless hours in the courtroom, has argued over 20 trials, and is extremely experienced.

Currently, Aaron is in private practice. His practice is limited criminal defense and DUI defense in all Arizona justice, municipal, state and federal courts. In addition, over the last three years has placed a strong emphasis on DUI and DUI related crimes such as vehicular manslaughter and vehicular assault.

Friendly, Knowledgeable and

Aaron made the process of getting diversion easier than I ever thought it could be. I was incredibly anxious about the ordeal at first, but he was there every step of the way helping me understand the process, keeping me up to date on the progress of the case and calling/emailing to make sure there w...as no confusion at any point. No matter who you are or what you need a lawyer for, I cannot recommend Aaron highly enough.

Superman!

First off I couldn't have been more lucky and now so thankful to have come across Aaron, I was arrested for an extreme DUI in AZ and I live out of state and as I scrambled to head home after being charged Aaron was able to get started on my case asap. He was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable ...and kept me informed throughout the entire process while also keeping my mind and stress at ease. Aaron was able to dismiss my extreme DUI, reducing my 30 day jail time to 0! Getting the interlock reduced from 12 months to nothing and saving me approximately $3,000 in fines. I highly recommend Aaron!

The Best

I could not have asked for a better attorney. I was not an easy client by any means. My DUI was considered "extreme", it was in Scottsdale where there was video of the incident, I have many medical issues, I live out of state and I was also applying to medical school in a different country, but Aaron... handled this all in stride. He provided the legal aspect, but also was kind and understanding and truly likes his job. Two days after my arrest, I contacted him through the website and was pleasantly surprised he called me back in less than an hour. Even over the phone he was personable, easy to talk to which immediately put me at ease. This was a nice contrast to the two previous lawyers I had contacted who seemed to be annoyed that I would ask for their help. I have never had an issue with the law, not even a speeding ticket and now I found myself with an Extreme DUI charge so I was pretty terrified. Aaron asked me about what happened, asked me to forward him paperwork and we made an appointment for a consultation. We worked through my case and he was supportive, working with me to find the best deal. Aaron informed me of the whole process, writing things down, provided me with my next steps in a folder and gave me the facts. He was available by phone, text, email and would respond immediately no matter the time. Aaron was able to adjust my license suspension to benefit my needs, attended the court appointments while I was at school and updated me regularly, gave me information regarding the interlock I needed to get installed, arranged a telephonic plea while I was in another country so I wouldn't have to fly back and forth, and adjusted my jail and home detention for the specific dates I would be in Phoenix for summer break. Truly exceptional. The one thing I would have appreciated would have been just a little bit more information post plea. I felt very overwhelmed with information and although I had the basic information, I felt I could've benefitted from just a tad more detail. For example, regarding the self surrender jail I had no idea what I would be walking into, how to check in or anything, also medications not to use when using a breathalyzer, etc. Those are minor details that definitely would've helped me personally. Even after my case was closed, Aaron was available for any questions I had and would give advise. I would hire Aaron again in a heartbeat, however I KNOW I will not have to.

Best of the best. (A review from a medical professional).

Aaron is a true professional; not only is he highly capable but he is very personable as well. Aaron contacted me quickly after I reached out to him and we discussed my case in detail. He explained the law in laymen’s terms and we talked about the different options available. I had a citation for an ...Open Container In Public that was to be heard at the Scottsdale Courthouse, and they are apparently notorious for never offering a diversion or dismissal on this specific type of charge. Aaron told me of this, and also told me of his last similar case that went to trial for a dentist who ended up being found not guilty. I am a medical professional and thus was worried about the damage a conviction could do to my career. He had many other examples of related cases he had successfully defended, so I knew that he was experienced and he was the best person to handle my case. Aaron was able to get me a deal that we did not even think possible – because of his working relationship with the prosecutor, I was offered a diversion and never even had to go to trial. It was the best possible outcome and I am so grateful to have received the option. Throughout the months-long process, Aaron was extremely on top of his work and kept me up to date with the paperwork and police records that he obtained for me. He answered all my questions promptly and was very available. This may be a testament to how much he works, but I don’t think he sleeps much. He has answered emails and texts late at night and early in the morning consistently. Lastly, and this is very important, it truly seemed like he cared for my case and was invested in getting the best outcome for me as a person. I can’t recommend Aaron enough! Trust the reviews. I am so glad I did.

Trusted Attorney

Aaron was hired when my son received a DUI back in December of 2016. My husband, son and I met with another law firm before hiring Aaron. We also spoke with two other lawn firms over the phone. We were very put off by the law firm that we actually met with. We had a consultation at that firm but no...t with a lawyer. It was an employee at the firm who gathered information and then spoke with the owner/attorney to see if they would take the case. This firm also made us think that my son could possibly get a Felony. I think this was a scare tactic to get us to hire them. We never even met the attorney the would have been assigned to the case. Not sure how you run a law firm like this. If we're paying good money for an attorney we want to meet directly with the attorney, not an assistant paid to get clients. This is when I did some research on line and discovered all the great reviews for Aaron. I contacted him immediately we met with him the very next day. He was very informative and gave it to us straight. He did not make any unrealistic promises. We hired him that day. He always kept us informed and updated. He was able to reduce my sons jail term and allow for home detention for the remainder. I give him a 10 for always being available and returning phone calls and emails promptly. I felt very stressed and times and always felt he was available to answer any questions we might have. I felt if we had hired another law firm we would not have received the same care and concern. We would of been another case turned over to one of many attorneys at a large firm. We definitely hired the right attorney.
