I did my research before finally arranging to have a consult with Rich. From that initial visit, he made me feel comfortable about the long process that we were about to embark on. Knowing that I had him in my corner made things a lot easier! I had a tough battle ahead of me with the mother of my ...child. There were always questions as to whether the child was mine and at every opportunity, the other party blocked my ability to establish paternity, denied me a chance at enjoying parenting time with my child until it was ordered by the courts, and found numerous other methods of adding stress and strain both financially and in my family's life. Times that should have been special like marrying my beautiful wife, adopting her son, and my wife and I welcoming our first child together should have been cherished milestones and while they were special, the court/custody process always seemed to cast a shadow over things. At several instances, I assumed I was fighting another losing battle because of status updates or outcomes of hearings, but Rich would come through with another avenue to pursue. Through a near 18 month court process, Rich fought hard for my rights, and kept me informed every step of the way. He walked me through everything we filed and why we were filing it so I really felt like I had some control of a situation that was weighing heavily on the viewpoint of the family court officials. I didn't always take the setbacks well, but Rich always kept composure and had an ability to put things into perspective for me that would help me want to keep fighting for my daughter. His responses were always in a quick turn-around time and he was very accessible even during non-business hours when situations would arise. In building our case, Rich didn't need to fight "dirty" and built up the focus on me and the ability I had to be a father and the impact I could have in my daughter's life. He always referred to it by telling me "no matter what the other person is doing, we have to be able to show in all aspects that you are essentially Super-Dad." When opportunities to compel the other party to play by the rules, and be reasonable were necessary, Rich aggressively approached those opportunities with her and her representation to continue to progress our objectives in the right direction. Rich made it very clear that as his client, it was in the best interest of my child to have me in her life. Thankfully, I can say that despite all the obstacles and headaches throughout the proceedings, Rich helped me to go from not knowing a child was mine for certain and having no involvement in her life, to establishing paternity, being granted Joint-Legal Decision Making and "Essentially Equal" parenting time. Today, my family and I enjoy every moment we get to share and spend time with my daughter. I owe a great deal of thanks to Rich and his team for all they did for me! I know that if I didn't have an attorney as experienced and knowledgeable as he was, I would not have been able to get the results I did in the timeframe they were done in.

I hired Rich on two occasions: (1) a legal separation; and (2) for my partner to gain guardianship of her grandchild. In both cases Rich was very knowledgeable, explained the "ins and outs" of the applicable laws; gave good advice when requested; followed procedures very well; explained the legal p...roceedings before they occurred; kept us informed. He listened and followed through on what I/we wanted done. Prior to starting work he gave estimates of the costs which turned out to be pretty close in the end. He did not try to do more than we requested or talk us into doing more with the guardianship than we wanted. He was very helpful and understanding. He was prepared for court.
