I got an extreme DUI. I live in another country. I was unable to serve my time or do my drug screening due to living in EU. I had a warrant for my arrest - and - 10 years had passed from the time I was arrested to the time I could satisfy all the requirements. MAYBE getting 2 for 1 credit. 2. 5 Day work release [12 hour in jail and 12 hour out of jail + 2 days per week in jail}. 3. 6 day work release [same as above except 1 day in jail per week] 4. Home Detention [ability to work at home, sleep in my own bed and reduce the amount of hours spent in jail. The odds that I would get option 4 was less than 2%; however, James is James, and option 4 is what I got. My wife and I could not be happier and my friends all think he's a genius! You need to understand that it is not in my nature to normally give gushing reviews, but I TRULY cannot say enough good things about James Tinker! My sister was in a traffic accident a little over a year ago, and it seemed that the other side had little interest in "playing fair." We couldn't even ...get them to return a phone call, even though we wanted to "do the right thing" and cover all of the gentleman's medical expenses! I utilized Mr. Tinker's expertise for 2 separate cases, both of which turned out positively for myself and my family. I received James Tinker's information through a friend of a friend, both of whom are lawyers. I was potentially facing a serious misdemeanor up to a felony charge for a crime numerous years ago. He offered me extensive free advice despite being extremely busy at the time. He also reached out to other... lawyers to receive even more information about my case. After doing all of this for me, he then explained that it would be possible for me to represent myself at this point and provided me detailed instructions on what to say to the investigator. The investigator tried to step across the line with a question and James immediately shut it down in a very polite manor. He developed a positive relationship with the investigator in our meeting and, I believe, this ultimately lead to no charges being filed. TL;DR James Tinker is professional, honest and hard working. Do not throw money away on a different criminal defense attorney. If he will take your case, HIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY.
