I was charged with a DUI under some unusual circumstances. A friend recommended James to take my case. I hired him. From day 1, James walked me through what I needed to do and explained all aspects of the law to me. We got the case dismissed with his excellent help. I had never been arrested befo...re and felt bad about what happened. James made me feel comfortable under the circumstance as we proceeded through the case details. A little over a year ago I was in an accident, totaled my car, rear-ended another driver and was arrested for an extreme DUI, (thank God, no one was injured.) It was a long drawn out year, however, when we went to court he was successful in negotiating a plea agreement which was most agreeable. After critically reviewing the officer's statements and reports, he recognized a potential issue that I didn't give a second thought to at the time. Despite working for a generally flat fee regardless of the outcome, he diligently pursued the issue that was bothering him, when I wouldn't have felt slighted if he merely collected his fee and did nothing more than shepherd the case through court. Instead, he expended valuable time, energy, and resources to thoroughly investigate all aspects of my case, bringing to light significant flaws in the traffic stop, exactly as he suspected. I had no reason to expect such dedication and devotion in my defense. I thought I was really just hiring an attorney to prevent making a silly mistake if I tried to handle things on my own.
