I got an extreme DUI. I live in another country. I was unable to serve my time or do my drug screening due to living in EU. I had a warrant for my arrest - and - 10 years had passed from the time I was arrested to the time I could satisfy all the requirements. I had 4 alternatives, from worst to best: 1. 45 days straight in jail. MAYBE getting 2 for 1 credit. 2. 5 Day work release [12 hour in jail and 12 hour out of jail + 2 days per week in jail}. 3. 6 day work release [same as above except 1 day in jail per week] 4. Home Detention [ability to work at home, sleep in my own bed and reduce the amount of hours spent in jail. The odds that I would get option 4 was less than 2%; however, James is James, and option 4 is what I got. My wife and I could not be happier and my friends all think he's a genius!
