My name is Dustin, I never write reviews. However, when you are realistically facing prison time and an Attorney is as intelligent, thoughtful, and caring as Wally was I have to. Let me be clear this was a self inflicted wound I had. I went to meet with Wally and I was petrified. He helped me to take... responsibility and face my actions. He was always a straight shooter, and literally treated me like a Son. Wally has amazing relationships, and more importantly is respected by everyone in the Legal system and Government Agencies. I truly am grateful that I chose Wally and you will be too! I got probation and that was a miracle on his part.

I hired Walter Bugden to represent me and my family on a very difficult case. His team worked very closely with my wife and I and paid very close attention to detail. In April of 2013, myself and 5 other people were unjustly charged by an overly aggressive Utah Prosecutor from the Attorney General’s Office with multiple felonies for Fraud. From the very first meeting, I felt as though Mr. Bugden was direct and honest. He always made me feel like I had an advocat...e that had my best interest at heart. It took 20 months before we were able to get a preliminary hearing. We had many hearings in that 20 month period. At every hearing Attorney Bugden and his partner Tara Isaacson were on time, prepared and ready to defend me. Every brief that was required to be filed was delivered to the Judge on time and in most cases ahead of time. Not all the defendants in the case were able to say the same. Attorney Bugden was great in the court room. He asked the witnesses all the right questions in a way that seemed harmless, however their answers were critical to proving our case. When you are facing Felony Charges you need a well respected and aggressive Attorney. Attorney Bugden is both. There was a situation where Attorney Bugden had to stand up to the judge in our case. He did so in a very respectful yet direct way. I was proud that he was my Attorney! The fee schedule was set up front and at no time was I charged more than I had been told. There was complete transparency in all matters. One Saturday afternoon I had a time sensitive question and I took the chance that Attorney Bugden would pick up the phone. When he answered and helped me with my question I was so relieved. That shows how dedicated he was to my case. The Judge finally dismissed all charges at the preliminary hearing. The genuine emotion of relief I felt from Attorney Bugden on that day was amazing. I will ALWAYS refer him to anyone that is in need of a defense Attorney.

Wally was my attorney for a federal white collar criminal case in 2013. The outcome was excellent thanks to Wally's ability to speak with the prosecutors and other attorneys involved in the case. I like him because he is a straight shooter, experienced, respectful of client resources (i.e. very cons...cientious about trying to save me money), and realistic. He will not blow smoke and tells you how it is. He also knows criminal law and has relationships with many of the government prosecutors and other attorneys--this can be invaluable when trying to work out a deal or get information. Because of Wally's light touch and ability to speak with the other side, my restitution order was set aside and the case resolved favorably. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others facing either state or federal criminal accusations.
