Susanne Gustin

I write this review both reverently and with great respect for what Susanne was able to do for us. My wife and I have a son who is across the country in school. To have ANY issue and not be there for your child is bad enough! But when your son is accused of rape, and knowing that there is no way that... he could do that, your world comes to a complete stop. Immediately, in a couple days time, he lost his P/T job, received a letter from school saying that it was placed on hold and evicted from his apartment for "criminal activity/abuse of another tenant." After speaking with several good attorneys, they all said that I should reach out to Susanne Gustin. I left 1 message and was excited when she called and said that she would take the case to protect my son. TRUST me in this review when I tell you the 2 things that my wife and I have learned through this ordeal. First is YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT in a sexual crime. Our son made a bad moral mistake with a girl but NOT a legal mistake. To be accused of something like this you must have the best to represent you and we had the best with Susanne. She communicated with us via text, email and phone. In a circumstance like this, you would love to have your attorney update you on every little thing. We were like that, but in hind sight, Susanne did what she does well and then updated us. Obviously, in this type of a situation and your child has been completely turned inside out by investigators and already judged guilty, you must have the best and a piece of mind that you don't have an attorney that is just taking your money and "learning" the ropes. I believe that Susanne has a relationship and respect of other attorneys, prosecutors and judges. I don't believe this is a pride thing for her on I win and they lose, but it is about what she believes is best for her client. She then sells that to the prosecutor and WINS! I will end it by telling you this. Our lives will never be the same again. Our late night calls to any of our sons, grandchildren that are unanswered will never be as innocent without thinking the worst. Our prayers along with family and friends that prayed were certainly answered by a quick dismissal. The first prayer that was answered was having Susanne placed in our path. No matter your religion, we prayed to have the best to represent our son. THAT PRAYER WAS ANSWERED! She went to bat for our son, she placed him as a priority, she was confident about her ability, not prideful, and she rescued our family from a life changing ordeal. We only have one regret at the end of this and that is that we cannot look her in the eyes, face to face, a father and a mother, so that she will know what she means to our family! Saying thank you when I received the call that it was all being dropped did not do it justice to the feelings we shared. When a mother is placed in a position that her son is possibly going to be charged with RAPE, you want a woman who understands that feeling. We believe that Susanne, understands that feeling and that is why she wants it to end quickly and fights for you. She fights because she cares, and if that sounds a bit corny then so be it! I knew instantly that she cared and that I had the best. She will never know how much she means to our family and we will never forget what she did for us. In less than a week my son was back in school and had his job back. Although the apartments said he could return, we chose a different route. His life will never be the same either, but without Susanne in his corner fighting for him, at 21 his life could have been over. For anyone who may be unfortunate enough to find yourself in a position to need protecting from a sexual crime allegation, pray that Susanne has time to take your case. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Again, I say all this with reverence and appreciation for what Susanne was able to do. I do not even know how it was dismissed and didn't ask. We just asked her to represent our son. SHE DID IT!
