Marji helped us finish a Chapter 13 plan and really fought to keep us in it until we got our discharge a few years ago. We had some more bad luck, cancer, adult kids with addiction, loss of employment and needed to file again. I was too embarrassed to call Marji because I kind of didn’t want her to know we needed help again and my wife made an appointment to go talk to a different lawyer. We never got to talk to the actual lawyer. We talked to a couple of paralegal type people, who both gave us different answers. After wasting time and a garnishment starting, I told my wife to call Marji and see what could be done. She was so helpful, no judgment, got us squared away, stopped the garnishment and took the time to explain our options and what we could do and couldn’t do in another case. Don’t even think about calling anyone else if you think you need to file for bankruptcy. I’m not a person who every rights reviews, but I wanted to put in a good word for Marji because she really knows her way around and gets things fixed and tells you the straight truth. We wish we didn't need her help again, but we are so grateful for her help and kindness.

At a time when you are facing seemingly insurmountable financial stress, what you need is someone who is experienced, wise and understanding. Marji is extremely competent in all areas, offering advice and instructions clearly. Personally, she is warm and supportive.

We wish we never would have met Marji Hanson, but we found ourselves in over our heads and without hope. From our first meeting with Marji we felt the weight from our shoulders lessen. Marji was very honest about our situation and gave us many different options and the probable outcomes with each choice. We chose one option and about 6 months later found that it just wasn't going to work. Marji got our case changed without causing us any extra work. Every time we needed advice Marji was thorough and responded quickly. We enjoyed our years of working with Marji, she helped us feel normal, stress-free, and smarter with our decisions from here on out.
Anna Drake, Chapter 7 bankruptcy Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
I whole-heartedly endorse Marji Hanson for both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. She is both compassionate and no-nonsense at the same time. If you have a simple or a complicated Chapter 13, she will do an excellent job.
