Daniel R. Hardee

Dan and his team (especially his paralegal assistant Brandi) exceeded expectations in every way. They both were always quick to respond to emails or meet in person as needed, even when busy with other cases, going above and beyond every time to give accurate answers to questions and the best possible... advice. A few things I really appreciated about Dan were his honesty, work ethic, genuine concern for what was best for the kids (he represented me in a child custody modification case), and desire to achieve the best possible outcome at the lowest possible cost in terms of time, money, and emotion. Where it made sense for me to draft documents, Dan would provide templates and Brandi would edit them, thereby saving us money – he wasn’t out to rack up as many billable hours as possible. On the other hand, when things were crucial and required Dan’s experience and expertise, he provided it in spades. When Dan thought something was worth pursuing or fighting, he would let me know, but if something was a likely waste of time and money, he would say that as well. His experience and insight into the various family judges on the bench, opposing counsels, and potential mediators and arbitrators was invaluable as the case drug on for over a year and a half. Dan also encouraged me to settle the case outside of court if at all possible. He understands that going to trial is a big expense, and saves his time and energy for where and when it matters the most so that you get the biggest bang for your buck. Thanks to Dan’s efforts, my ex-husband and I were eventually able to reach an agreement after some challenging mediation sessions and avert a trial just days before it was scheduled to begin. I also have to say that Dan’s assistant Brandi is one of a kind. It's rare you meet someone like her that is so dedicated to her job, committed to performing it with excellence (and near perfection), and manages to remain calm even during stressful times (such as rushing to meet a 5 PM court submission deadline). You can count on her to be efficient, responsive, attentive to detail, and incredibly friendly. She made all the difference in the world, and saved me literally thousands of dollars in legal fees. I would highly recommend Dan and Brandi to anyone looking for an excellent family law practitioner who will fight for your (and your children’s) best interests with intensity and integrity; you won't be sorry. I filed for divorce 6 years ago, it took almost one year to get completed and cost tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees. Unfortunately I didn't have Dan Hardee as my attorney at that time. My custody arrangement with less than ideal, I ended up with around 17% custody with my son year roun...d. Two years back I filed paperwork to get my custody changed using my original lawyer. Nothing changed, it was stopped by the judge before it even got started. Last July I was ready to try for more custody again and decided to try another attorney. I chose Dan Hardee after a recommendation from a friend and reading online reviews about him. It was the best decision I could have ever made! It took 10 months of hard work by myself, Dan Hardee, and his wonderful staff but, I now have my son 50/50 year round! Dan Hardee is first class all the way, explaining ever step of the process, having me fully prepared for my deposition by opposing counsel, and being very thorough on deposing my ex-wife. He explained what to expect during the parenting evaluation and had me fully prepared for that as well. Giving me idea's that increased my odds of getting a favorable outcome. I went from paying, what I consider, a large monthly child support payment to actually receiving a small child support payment. Dan promised me, in the beginning, he would help me get more custody of my son I just didn't believe I would get what I was asking for. During this process we were required to do mediation, I went in knowing full well I would not get 50/50 in mediation since that was what I was asking for, I had to negotiate down. Just as my ex was not willing to budge an inch off our current custody agreement and would have to negotiate up. It went nowhere since my ex was not willing to negotiate. That was when Dan Hardee filed for a parenting evaluator to get involved. By the luck of the draw the judge assigned us Cary Imeson in Eagle. I cannot say enough nice things about Cary Imeson as well, she did a very through evaluation spending over 30+ hours evaluating our case and ended up coming back with a recommendation to myself and ex wife, our respective attorneys, and the courts of 50/50 year round, improved the holiday schedule, gave me more than I asked for during the summer schedule, improved how we do our exchanges to reduce conflict , and recommended we work together to get our son a passport, which was very important to me. Like I titled this review, I could not be happier with my decision to hire Dan Hardee, and also a special thanks to Cary Imeson.
