Employment and Labor 20%

I solely represent employees against their current and former employers. My services to you are designed to meet your specific goals and needs. I am available to provide private counseling to you without ever informing your employer that you are seeking legal assistance, represent you in an appeal for unemployment benefits, review and/or negotiate employment contracts, fight for you in Court, or anything in between that makes sense for your situation.

Discrimination 15%

Even though everyone knows that discrimination is illegal, it still happens. If you have been disciplined or fired, or if you are being treated differently at work because of your gender, sex, sexual identity, age, race, national origin, color, religion, disability, genetic information, parental responsibilities or pregnancy, you may be entitled to damages. There are time limits for you to take action, so call us right away to give yourself the best options.

Wrongful Termination 15%

Losing your job creates all kinds of problems. If you think you were fired for a reason that is unfair or illegal, or if you were told you were fired for something that doesn't make sense, schedule an initial consultation with us for some peace of mind.

Contracts and Agreements 10%

The law in Colorado regarding employment contracts is fairly specific. If your employer has asked you to sign a non-competition or non-soliciation agreement, or wants you to sign a release in exchange for severance, you should understand exactly what you are agreeing to. If you have been accused of violating a contract or agreement that you signed, don't put off contacting us.

LGBT+ Law 10%

The law forbids sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination when it comes to any aspect of employment. Harassment is also prohibited. If you have experienced illegal treatment at work because of who you are or who you love, we can help.

Super nice and Honest

Rachel was so nice during our initial consultation. I really felt comfortable with her. It was determined that I have a good chance to win my case on my own. It would be my choice if I wanted her to represent me. I really appreciated the honesty.

Great Job!

I only hired this firm a little bit ago and so far so good- they listened and were attentive. My case is a complex one with a major employer and many factors- I am hoping we get great results and will update my review as we get further into the case etc.

Good advice

Ms. Ellis did a great job of helping me understand my rights, whether I had a case, and providing edits to a severance agreement that better protected my interests.

When facing a tough employer, you want Rachel on your team

After my wrongful termination, I felt like I was helpless and no one was on my side. A friend suggested I meet with Rachel, and everything changed. She validated my concerns that my termination was retaliation for reporting discrimination at the company, and immediately started helping me organize ...my thoughts to build a case. We were a team from then on. Rachel is very open and honest and keeps you informed throughout the whole process. She lays out all of your options and helps set realistic expectations so you know you're making the right choice for you. Rachel is concise and to the point and will not waste your time on anything that isn't going anywhere, but respects what you need to get closure emotionally and financially. She's a fierce, intelligent, and respectful advocate for her clients, and believes passionately in her work. I'm so relieved to have found such a great partner for such a difficult time and I couldn't have done it without her. I would recommend her any time!
