Excellent Support

Tim was very good at giving us the FULL PICTURE as it referred to our granddaughters relationship to our county legal and social services groups. He was excellent in making sure all parties were fully understanding what direction we wanted things to go. He was in our corner and guided all our court a...pperances and meetings professionally. We would recommend Tim for his knowledge and even demeanor.

No need to search, work with Tim!

My husband and I were the only placement option available for our grandchild. We gladly agreed to the placement and began the extremely complicated process of being involved in a DHS case. We hired Tim to help us navigate and we finally felt we had “a voice in the room”. Tim has the ability to mix ...professionalism and compassion with honesty. He was able to help us understand the nuances of the system, and our place in it as kinship caregivers/special respondents. Tim made sure we had as much information as possible before making choices related to the case. He was always willing to answer questions. He made it clear that he would support our decisions. Tim put a lot of effort into communicating with us on a regular basis. If he wasn’t available, needed to reschedule, or had to ask a colleague to cover for him, we knew about it with plenty of notice. Tim was able to accommodate our schedule for meetings and telephone calls and he was always available by email. Tim’s easy manner allowed me to feel comfortable contacting him when needed. He never seemed bothered or irritated, and was willing to help. I would highly recommend Tim Eirich and consider ourselves fortunate to have worked with him! Everyone we worked with from his firm was professional and extremely competent.

Tim is the one!

I hired Tim to intervene on a D&N case that quickly escalated into chaos. Tim was attentive with addressing my needs and advocating for the young child in my home. He walked me through each step of the process and made things feel much more manageable, especially during high stress times. Tim is wort...h every penny- he is well respected in the community and advocates tirelessly for his clients. Thank you Tim for all you do!

Making crazy manageable

We hired Tim Eirich in 2015 when our adopted son was headed to residential treatment for his complicated mental health problems, fetal alcohol issues, early neglect etc that resulted in impossible behaviors at home and his beginning to sexually assault girls even though he was only 12 at the time. I...t was not clear to us that we could handle his needs even after he entered residential treatment. Tim was extremely knowledgeable about our options, weighing them carefully at the time of the decision and what the consequences of those decisions may mean for us later. We felt very well-guided and grateful to have someone so competent, thoughtful and articulate. What happened next could not have been more bizarre. Our son's equine therapist - who knew how much we were struggling - approached us and asked to adopt our son. We agreed and proceeded through legal, legitimate channels to transition him to her care. Turned out, she had more significant mental health problems than our son did. She became combative, delusional and openly psychotic. She did not adopt our son, but rather filed for allocation of parents rights. Because our son has been in her care for >6 months, she had more legal rights over him than we did. This was a very strange time with incredible stress and now monthly child support payments that did not end until our son was 19. Tim was a calming voice throughout and we knew we had excellent counsel if we needed it at any time. Our situation was very strange and is fortunately over now. We would recommend Tim highly and without hesitation.

Simply the best

There is no one that understands laws for foster children better than Tim. He literally was educating everyone in our courtroom when he represented us. He wasn’t aggressive, but a complete realist in terms of what we should expect and the actions we should take. We’re very anxious people and he answe...red every question we had with the utmost patience. Don’t hesitate to consult with and then hire Tim if you need to. He’s the smartest guy around.

"The biggest compliment one lawyer can give another is to refer them cases, and I refer anyone I can to Tim. He is a phenomenal lawyer, both in skills and compassion. He is the authority in the state on child issues, whether it is adoption, a DHS investigation, or familial conflict. I do not hesitate to send Tim my most valued clients, nor would I hesitate in using him myself. He is outstanding."

"I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer for all aspects of juvenile law (i.e adoption, allocation of parental rights ((i.e. custody, parenting time)), representation of foster parents, grandparents rights, parents involved with social services, etc.). Tim brings to his practice and representation a sense of calm and organization, in what is often a chaotic and highly charged situation. Tim is up to date on the law. He is well known, and respected by his colleagues and the bench. Most importantly, Tim is a gentleman."
