I couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer (anonymous, August 8, 2013). Please read that review as it paints an accurate picture of Nikea's legal and personal skills. I could be writing the exact same review word-for-word some three years later. This speaks volumes for her consistency as an a...ttorney and person. Undoubtedly, Divine Intervention led us to Nikea. She has deep knowledge of Colorado law and the juvenile justice system. Nikea helped us navigate through the worst storm in our lives. Her expertise and legal guidance resulted in the best possible outcome. Highly recommended!

I was arrested and charged with a felony and a misdemeanor under the domestic violence category in Adams County, Colorado. Another attorney was initially hired. Ultimately, I felt I was not receiving the communication and attention I was comfortable with. This other attorney worked headline cases: ra...pe, murder, conspiracy. Mine did not fit that category. I began researching and interviewed several attorneys. Nikea Bland made me feel comfortable and confident that she was the right attorney for this type of case. I never questioned whether switching attorneys was the right decision. If you have questions, ask them. You need to understand what is happening. Lawyers will use their lingo but if you don’t understand something, Nikea will explain. She will also explain why she recommends a certain path. We worked on negotiations with the DA, but ultimately I took the case to trial. Nikea was well prepared and knew the details of the case. She knew what to expect from the prosecution and from the witnesses. Her defense of me at trial was exactly what I hoped to see. The jury returned quickly with a NOT GUILTY verdict on both counts. The staff at the O’Malley Law Firm were also polite and professional.

I have watched Nikea prepare, try, and win a criminal case before a jury. As a trial lawyer myself, I could see the time and effort she put into each phase of the case. From the first conversation with Ms. Bland, my mind was put at ease and felt confident in her overview and plan for action. She was always available to discuss any issues that came up and was fully dedicated to getting my case acquitted from the start. Throughout the process, which took about 2 years to my acquittal in trial, Ms. Bland was the best representation I could ever ask for as she was always attentive and prepared for every step of the way, from court appearances to our regular meetings to outline our progress. Her organization, promptness, efficiency and attention to detail is beyond words. She created an impeccable team of private investigator, DNA specialist, and witnesses for my defense in this case. There was never a moment throughout the process that I ever felt that I was not in very capable and great hands. The financial obligations of the entire process was always well planned and our discussions and agreement were followed by a very fair contract. The DA in the process was very difficult to deal with and withstanding that, Ms. Bland was always prepared to overcome any challenges that she faced. We were prepared for trial a substantial time ahead of the actual trial. I was not guilty of the accusations and never once was pressured by Ms. Bland to take a plea or do nothing less than get a fair outcome and trial. Prior to trial and during trial, Ms. Bland was in constant communication with my support system and her other colleagues in making sure that everything was covered in this case and nothing left unturned. During motion hearings and trial Ms. Bland's preparedness, specificity to details, excellent communication skills, great rapport with judge/ court staff was astute and a blessing. My whole life was in Ms. Bland's hand with the possibility of life in prison to losing my professional career, my family and to even deportation. I never lost faith in her phenomenal capabilities. Overall, there was not one issue I had throughout pretrial and trial. Her representation of me was the best I could have asked for. In the end, with all her hard-work, dedication, decision making, impeccable intellectual ability and loyalty in my representation, she successfully got a NOT GUILTY jury verdict. My family and I are forever thankful and blessed to have Ms. Nikea Bland as my representative lawyer and would not hesitate to STRONGLY recommend her first in line in defense of anyone facing any criminal charges.
