While it's never a good situation when you have to hire a defense attorney, the disquietude and apprehension of a pending legal matter can be made much easier by hiring an attorney like Karen. After being accused of street racing with a multitude of stacked charges, I contacted Karen - someone who ha...d given me excellent consultation advice in the past - to discuss my case. She was able to sit down with me right away and create a plan for both the civil and criminal/traffic portions of the matter. Within a few days, our initial meeting and all of the associated initial paperwork was completed, and she got to work on my case - this was timely. I can say, in all honesty, it was worth paying her to show up to all three of the appearances I had - two in Denver Municipal Court and one meeting with the City Attorney. Here are the two primary reasons I would recommend her and trust her: she is seasoned, and thus knows or has worked with a lot of judges, DAs, and city attorneys in the past, and she is not the type of attorney that will milk you for money. The former is helpful for obvious reasons, a well connected lawyer is worth their weight in gold. The latter is present in her modus operandi - by resolving my case as quickly as possible with a FAR better-than-expected plea deal, she saved me the time and money of having to show up to court again, have a DMV hearing, and the like. However, she was also willing to intelligently fight the charges if it came to that, and clearly had a strategy developed long before first appearance. We even communicated while she was on family vacation - during Christmas - out of the country via e-mail, so I was never left in the dark. She is conscientious about the costs involved in legal matters, and will always advise you to do what is both best for the outcome and your wallet. Ultimately, Karen worked well within my budget and provided me a high standard of legal representation. She is the kind of attorney that will keep you in line, but in a way that is extremely professional and effective. Again, I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you're facing a extortionate traffic ticket or something more serious.

About three years ago, I had the misfortune of experiencing first hand, and found out what it meant to be on the wrong side of the fence. My lovely ex-wife now, had uprooted our family to Colorado for a new Job. And as soon as the 6 months period was up, she blindsided me with filing for a divorce. W...ell she did get the Job, and the Job she really moved us to Colorado from NYC from, where I quit my job, to help her pursue her career. She had had a two year affair with someone named Job, who now lived in Colorado, and that apparently was the real reason behind this uprooting. On top of everything else, after facing all kinds of accusations from my lovely ex during the divorce proceedings, I was restricted by my ex for no particular reason to visit my 5 year old at the time, who was my world and I would have moved to the moon for, just so I would be close to. As one can imagine, one finds themselves in a very unfamiliar territory, with no friends nor family and facing a divorce. But as if these weren’t enough, I lost my cool, punched the door glass square of my previous residence in disbelief of being prevented to see my only kid. And I’m not by any means suggesting that was the right thing to do, because that’s not what I aimed for at all, but the glass broke, and I was charged with DV ( destruction of private property). Upon meeting Karen, I remember as if this were today, I had tears streaming down my face. Tears of embarrassment and guilt for putting myself in that position. I wondered what she was going to think of me, and whether she was going to take my case or not. Little did I know that the misfortune of sitting on the guilty side, was also the greatest fortune of having met Karen and have her represent me in court. Karen with her expertise and professionalism was able to convince the judge for a deferred judgment sentence, to which the judge agreed. Not only does she have a great track record but also she listens to your side of the story even if the evidence implies you’re in the wrong. And that I was. I did lose my cool. However it was extremely comforting to know that Karen was in charge of my case. She really fought for me, and stood on my corner till my record was sealed. I truly apologize if I’ve bored you out of your mind with my testimony, but I swear by Karen Steinhauser, and would highly recommend her to anyone who finds themselves in the wrong side of the law as she’s truly the most honest attorney you’ll ever come across and it will be the best decision you ever made to have her on your side.
