My experience working with Heather Broxterman and BAM Family Law was nothing short of exceptional! I was referred to this practice by an acquaintance who raved about them. My case was seeking, as an alienated parent, a fair custody arrangement with an incredibly challenging co-parent. I can't imagine a life without my daughter or for a sweet child to be fatherless for no good reason. I had brought Heather a unique divorce case in May of 2014, as my case involved a same-sex Civil Union and started in the midst of the same-sex marriage law changes in Colorado (and eventually, the Supreme Court). In my first consultation, Heather carefully listened to my situation and was immediatel...y able to explain what kind of case we had, what statues we fell under and explained the best possible way to proceed with the case. Not only was she knowledgeable about family law in general, but she had the most up to date information regarding same-sex relationships and rights - and she knew how to use that information effectively. My case expanded from a same-sex dissolution case to a juvenile maternity case (we had to prove that I was a legal parent to my child). From day one, Heather never changed course in what we were trying to accomplish and always used the law to her advantage. We won the maternity case, and eventually had a very fair ruling in the dissolution case (no one really "wins" in a divorce). I can honestly say that the successful outcome was because of her dedication to my case (I always felt like a priority), her knowledge of the law, and her passion for fairness. I would recommend Heather, her team, and Gutterman Griffiths to anyone who is going through a family crisis and needs legal help.
