Biography
I have been practicing exclusively in the area of Family Law and Domestic Relations for my entire career. After graduating from the University of Denver law school, I accepted a fellowship position with the Eighteenth Judicial District in Colorado working exclusively in Family Law and Domestic Relations with the Honorable Judge Angela R. Arkin. The fellowship experience allowed me to see the judges’ perspective and how judges dealt with and analyzed issues. Working closely with judges taught me that good advocacy, preparation, and aggressive representation is very important to reach resolutions in or out of the courtroom.
I believe strongly that family law attorneys must do everything they can to minimize the emotional turmoil that divorcing families go through. Divorce is a difficult thing and if you have to go through with it, then you deserve the right attorney by your side. I approach each Client’s case as the completely unique situation that it is. Sensitivity and understanding sometimes resolve family law matters without the need of the court’s involvement; however, in other circumstances, the case calls for aggressive and persistent advocacy. My job will be to assess your particular factual situation, your goals, and objectives in order to work with you on developing a legal strategy that will allow us to address your situation and meet your needs.

Divorce
Unfortunately, I had to terminate his service, and this was an overall poor decision/experience to hire him as an attorney. He did nothing he stated in consultation and was not knowledgeable about my case. I wish I had received honest feedback.

Replied last April 23, 2024Every time I leave a response to Ms. Breedlove's review, she immediately deletes her review so my response will disappear as well. I hope this time she would leave or preeminently remove her comment and allow people to judge for themselves. Few days before Ms. Breedlove hired me, opposing counsel filed a motion to continue a hearing. On the day we were hired but before we did our entry of appearance, the judge granted opposing counsel's motion and the hearing was moved up few days (this did not effect her case at all). For some reason, Ms. Breedlove believes that I asked the court to change the date of her hearing. I explained to her that this was not our doing and that the motion was filed and granted before I even became her attorney. Nonetheless, she still wanted us to withdraw from her representation, which we had no issues with. However, between the time she hired us and the time she asked us to withdraw, we prepared all of the necessary motions, spoke with opposing counsel regarding the pending three (3) motions, and discussed the case with Ms. Breedlove's former attorney (yes, we were taking over from another attorney only few weeks before the next court date). We billed her for the time we spent on her case and I send her copies of the motion we prepared and a bill reflecting all of the calls and preparation we made. Ms. Breedlove insisted on us withdrawing from her case but refused to sign the consent to withdraw, which is why we also had to prepared a motion to withdraw and set up that motion for a hearing date and time with the court (we did not charge for that). I sent Ms. Breedlove a final bill and even-though the retainer clearly states in multiple areas (on the first page) that the retainer was NON-REFUNDABLE, I still refunded the remainder of the retainer back to her. I sent Ms. Breedlove the final bill and told her to review and let me know if everything is correct so I can send her the remainder of the money, she approved and told me to Zelle her the money, which I did within few minutes. After Ms. Breedlove got the money, she emailed me back and asked me to send her the rest of the retainer amount or she would report me to the bar and leave me bad reviews. I showed Ms. Breedlove the agreement again, our bill again, the email where she agreed the the bill was correct, and I even gave her the number to the FL Bar so she can call them and confirm the validity of the contract. Despite all of that and the fact that I had the right to keep the full retainer amount, she is still not happy and believe my work should have been done for free. She is now on here and other platforms leaving me bad reviews without any rights or moral justifications. In my 13 years as an attorney, Ms. Breedlove is the second person to leave me a negative review. The first one was by a client who was unhappy that I left the firm I worked for at the time and did not take him with me to my new firm and now Ms. Breedlove. I guess I cannot make everyone happy no matter how hard I try. However, only two disappointed clients in 13 years, should say a lot about my professionalism and work ethics. Best of luck to you Ms. Breedlove and I hope that one-day , after you finish dealing with your legal matter, you can see the situation clear and remove this unfair, unjustified review.
