I’ve been a client of The Meyer Law Office for a few years now. Every single time I had an appointment with Hans, he left me waiting way past our appointment time—one time it was over 20 minutes. No one even offered a coffee or water (pre-COVID). Once I finally had a meeting with him, it always had ...felt rushed, and I’d like he’s doing me a favor by speaking to me. The case I have going on has taken a lot longer than it should’ve have because a lack of follow-up and follow-through. When I brought this up, all I got was excuses and never taken ownership for their shortcomings. I had a lot of faith in the work they could do for me because of his reputation in the community, yet, each time I have met with him or one of his attorneys have left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. In most, if not all of our meetings, I barely could talk, and the attorneys would rush through the information. I barely could ask my questions without him making me feel stupid for asking them. I don’t feel that they care about me as a human being, or my case. I feel as all they want is my hard earned dollars, and see my case as just one more in the pile of things to do. Immigration law needs people who care about the people and what immigrants can contribute to society, not automatons who don’t see the whole picture of your case. We need immigration attorneys who are there with you thought out the whole process not just when is time to pull out the payment for their services. I feel like a lot of immigration offices see immigrants as dollar signs and not as people. It’s truly a shame that as immigrants, we’re at the mercy of people who don’t care about how much their decisions, or lack thereof affect the lives of our entire families. Very disappointed.

Tania, I do not believe your statements bear any resemblance to a fair and accurate picture of events. However, one of my most important duties as an attorney is confidentiality.
