Attorney/Client

Nelson handled an appeal from the trial coir for us. The case went to the Colorado Court of Appeal twice. The Colorado Supreme Court twice and ultimately to the United States Supreme Court. His judgments were consistently sound and he listens to his client as well as he gives advice. Nelson Boyle i...s a top tier attorney.

Nelson saved my case after my previous attorney skipped town!

Seven years ago, I was rear-ended while riding my motorcycle. After fighting for years and getting no where, my previous lawyer skipped town (I have no idea why.. gerrr) all of his cases were doomed (and people were hurt, emotionally and financially because of it). By the time I got all of my case pa...perwork, I found out that I needed to appear in court in 4 months and had 10 days to answer a motion or I would forfeit my case and owe a few thousand dollars to the defense, a giant insurance company! It turned out that my previous lawyer Brian Kemler, left without giving me or the court all the information about my case and I was left to pick up the pieces. After talking with several attorneys, Nelson was the only one that would actually look at the case. Everyone else thought there must be a problem with my case and that that was the reason Brian left town.. umm, no. So, Nelson took up the slack and actually talked with me about my case and explained the process. My wife is an attorney with the U.S. state department and she recognized his talents right away (no, she could not have represented me). He amazed us with the amount of information he was able to give us and how effective he was at explaining it all. The first thing he did, was answer the motion (at this point, I had 6 days left). He not only answered the motion against me, but also completely blew the defense council's argument away. The judge must have been laughing in her chambers because Nelson cited cases and precedence that the defense had never bothered to look up and may have never even known existed. Anyways, that was an amazing start to a great win by Nelson. Nelson took my case that had been going on for about 7 years and wrapped it up with great results in less than 3 months! Nelson is a true professional. He is an extremely talented attorney that knows how to communicate to those of us who need to talk to a real person during times of stress and anxiety. I am very lucky that I found someone who actually cared enough to help and was good enough to go head-to-head with the biggest insurance company in the US, and win.

Great Lawyer.

Nelson was the best Lawyer I have ever retained. He really cared about my case and I felt very confident having Nelson on my side. I have already recommended Nelson to my friends, relatives, and co-workers. Nelson would be my first choice should I need any legal help in the future.

Great Experience!

Nelson was the first lawyer I have ever had, and my experience was great! He was very helpful with information, and took care of everything in a timely manner. If I ever needed a lawyer again Nelson would be who I would call. If my family or friends needed a lawyer, I would recommend them to Nelson.

I have had the privilege to work with him on an important Colorado Supreme Court case concerning the determination of landowner under the premise liability act where he is the lead brief writer. "I can count the lawyers I would trust to defend one of my trial verdicts on appeal on one hand. Nelson is one of them. Not only is he highly respected among his peer lawyers in Colorado, those of us who have read his appellate work admire the thoroughness, persuasiveness, and creativity of his legal arguments. Nelson is one of those lawyers other lawyers go to when we have tricky legal questions and need an expert's opinion. He has my strongest endorsement."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
