Before writing this review, I took the time to read several previous reviews done by clients of the Wink and Wink firm. I was struck by the overwhelming similarities in how these clients described their experience, and how they so closely mirrored my own experience. From my first meeting with Mike an...d Gigi Wink, I felt I was going to be in good hands. As I went through the process of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, Mike handled my case and earned my, trust, respect and appreciation over and over. He is a consummate professional, and I would, with complete confidence, recommend him to family members and my dearest friends.

I've been very happy with the support and service I've received from Mike Wink. I originally filed for Chapter 7 on my own. I encountered roadblocks with the court and realized I needed the assistance of a lawyer. Mike gladly accepted my case and provided immediate consultation. He advised I conv...ert to Chapter 13 and assured me he could secure a very reasonable monthly payment. He also charged me very little up front and promised he could get the bulk of his compensation through the banktruptcy court. He filed papers with the court immediately after my first meeting with him which provided instant relief. Everything worked out as he promised and my bankruptcy experience has had minimal stress as the result. Throughout my case, if any issues came up, Mike was very responsive and all emails I sent were addressed an answered. After using the referral on a radio station I am happy I did. Bankruptcy is such an uncharted area of life. You need someone you trust that is current on laws and responds quickly. So our situation was probably like many out there. Certain circumstances got us into a bad financial situation where we owed a boatload of money to multiple creditors (mainly credit card companies). However we also owed some large medical bills as well. It came to the point where we could not affo...rd to make our large car payment, our mortgage payment, childcare payment, living expenses, along with the ridiculously minimum payments to all of our creditors anymore. We had been making those crazy minimum payments and getting no where on paying down the debt! It was like shoveling snow into a shopping cart. We had to make a decision to let the cards or the house go past due until we figured something out. We were about 5 months in to letting many of the cards go into default before we met with Mike. I heard his ad on a local sports talk radio show. At the time I did not think we could do a bankruptcy and keep our property (cars and house). That was key we wanted to keep both but primarily we wanted to keep our house. I looked into getting another full time job to pay off the CC debt. In the end that did not work. Since we thought we'd have to liquidate house in a bankruptcy we were hesitant to go down that path. However once we realized selling the house was a real option we'd have to explore we decided to have a meeting with Mike just in case we had a shot at keeping it instead of selling it. So we set up a meeting with Mike and he was very up front and honest with us. He gave us all of our options including a non-bankruptcy option to settle with the credit card companies. But he did mention we could keep the house and cars in a Chapter 13. In the end we decided to go with a Chapter 13 plan. Everything took a while and we had to provide a lot of information. But we were very happy with the results so far! We got one of our cars crammed down, we actually got a newer car before we filed. I got a bonus this year and was able to keep it! I will have to turn those over for future years bonuses! All in all a very good experience, we are able to repay what we can through the plan and are happy for a fresh do over. It will take some diligence to stay on budget for our Chapter 13 plan but I know we can do it! Mike was great and either him, his wife Gigi, or staff was always there to answer all the questions I had no matter how trivial or how many of them I had.
