Michael King...our hero!

Michael King recently represented my father in a federal case that we saw very little chance of winning. Mr. King explained everything in detail and was very honest with the whole family from the get go. He worked very hard to get the desired results and good news to a family. He doesn't give the cl...ient false expectations, but in the end you can tell how hard he worked to win the case. He is very easy to get along with and he really is here to help. I would recommend Michael King to anyone needing a criminal defense lawyer. We are forever grateful for Michael King!

Third times a charm...

Mr. King was appointed to me as my Federal attorney in 2007. I was one of his first clients I believe, he and I built a friendship over the long drawn out process that it takes with the federal court system. I was not in a good place prior to my incarceration. I did receive exactly what we wanted fro...m the courts and for that I was very grateful. I was sentenced to 3 years in the Federal prison system therefore, I could participate in RDAP which is the drug program. I truly needed this program, I am an addict and always will be! Once out of prison and on probation as some of us do I violated again Mr. King was my attorney and this time I was given a downward departure on my sentence! Thanks to his knowledge of the system and that was with a DWI conviction just so you know. And, the last time I called Mr. King was after he was on his own and I was in a panic I had three weeks till I was off of probation and I was being accused of a dirty UA and once again with his help and the resources of the medical profession he was able to prove it was in fact a false positive and I completed the four years of my Federal probation. But, I would most defiantly hire Mr. King and recommend him he knows the Federal system and he helped me all three times and I always got lectured out of love but, he has helped me be the person I am becoming Thank You!

Excellent across the board. The stars are not an exaggeration.

I faced felony charges in federal court a few years back; Title 18 U.S.C. 1001 and 1519 and 2, if I recall correctly. I stood accused of falsifying federal documents and intent to deceive federal agents. The prosecution was uncooperative, hostile, and used... dubious methods in their prosecution. Ha...d I been convicted, I would have been branded a felon for the rest of my life. I would have been kicked out of the military I had only just joined. I would likely never have had the chance to go back to college. I would have faced some prison time and a lifetime with many of my basic citizen's rights revoked. Enter Mr. King and his team. Mr. King was assigned as my public defender early on in the trial. He kept me informed of every possible detail of events as they unfolded, and gave me realistic expectations. He told me exactly what was likely to happen with each choice that was presented to me, and made no bones about the risks I'd be taking with each path I took, such as the choice between taking a plea bargain and fighting the charges. He was honest enough to tell me that he wanted to fight the charges, and yet did not pressure me into doing so. He made it clear that it would be riskier than accepting the bargain. He helped me review evidence, contact witnesses and build my case with utmost diligence, even when stonewalled by a prosecution who was slow to release any exculpatory evidence. He was also an excellent team player, as evidenced by the people he had working with and for him, who were similarly diligent, professional, and amiable. He knew his stuff. He was able to cross-reference trial precedents, interpret statutes, find rules of evidence, and locate federal sentencing guidelines like it was second nature. If I had a question, he had an answer. He helped me present my own testimony to my actions, to present an accurate but still compelling statement. He even helped keep me accountable by correcting me when I misspoke on the stand; a testament to his dedication and honesty. He was courteous and professional, yet still someone you could feel very at ease talking with on a personal level, which helped during the stress of a trial with so much at stake for me, and helped put my family at ease as well. Come what may, I knew he was doing his level best, and doing it right. Months of preparation and three days in court later, I was acquitted of all charges. In short, Mr. King was an excellent attorney because he was an excellent man. And for that, I am grateful. Anyone else should be more than happy to have someone like him in their corner.
