Client was arrested based on the testimony of ONE witness alone--an elderly woman in his trailer complex who stated she never saw client living at that complex. Just ONE witness folks! An investigato ... r later determined that the elderly woman really wanted attention from the cops and was willing to tell them anything. The lady hardly goes out her front door. The lady's elderly husband, who does go out a lot and mows the lawn, informed our investigator that he sees client going in and out of client's trailer all the time! Well ain't that something!

Client was staying in a hotel room with his cats. A hotel employee called Texas City Rabies Control to report that these cats were abandoned in the hotel room. Rabies Control Officers got access to r ... oom and saw a burnt marijuana cigarette. The officers then found cocaine under a pillow after trying to move a mattress to get at a cat. The officers had no right to search the room for contraband without first obtaining a warrant. Additionally, many people had access to that room during the time the client was staying there.

Client and two other friends were sitting at a bench in a park after park hours at night when cop rolled up. Cop approached the kids and they got up to approach him. Backup kept kids at cop car while ... first cop searched around bench and found small baggie of weed. All three admitted to smoking earlier on the bench, but none claimed the baggie. Insufficient evidence to convict my client.

To top it off, Client and her husband were going through a divorce ... . While Client was trying to get to bottom of daughter's partying, daughter cussed at her with the support of husband, then tried to shut the door on mom. Mother Client burst through doors and a fight ensued. Due to the nature of the provocation from daughter and husband, DA's office agreed to dismiss case in return for Client doing an Anger Management Class.
