The Jury didn't believe Defendant used an AK47 to assault his wife! Especially since the cops didn't take the AK47 into evidence! State dismissed Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Family M ... ember charge before the Jury came back with a Not Guilty verdict in return for Defendant's time served plea to Misdemeanor Assault.

Client got in an argument with his wife and he wouldn't give her the keys to the car because she had been drinking. She starts swinging at him and he pushes her away with an open hand to the upper che ... st. She bangs her flailing arms into the door jam and cuts a hand. Then she leaves the room and calls the cops saying client choked her. She later recanted. There were no marks on her throat!

Crazy story! Female client is w/hispanic dude she just met (probably druggie). They are in Wal Mart. Dude asks her to push out a cart with a TV. She refuses and goes to the car. He then pushes it ... out of store and is chased by Loss Prevention. He cusses at Loss Prevention and jumps in car with TV and drives off with client in it. High speed chase ensues with cops! Dude loses control and crashes. Cops come up to car and find crack all over the place. Some is on ground and very close to client. Client has serious crack issues and does a 2 year deferred probation b/c she wants help, but she didn't take that TV!

Client decided to piss on side of freeway while his friend was getting stopped for a traffic violation. The prosecutor and I had a good laugh and we agreed to dismiss for entertainment value!

Video did not show client driving 90 mph the middle of the night. Video did not show improper lane change. Video only showed an officer speeding around 100 on HWY 59 to get to client. At this time, ... client wasn't possibly going 90 mph. Video didn't corroborate officer's report.

Only reason given in police report for stopping client was "conducted traffic stop." What the heck does that mean? I file a Motion to Suppress and the DA's Office can't figure out for the life of the ... m the reason for the stop. Thanks for violating my client's right against Unreasonable Search & Seizure!

The projects drunk supposedly sees client with a pistol and calls the cops. The gun was eventually found in a laundry basket in client's apartment. Client's DNA was subsequently found on gun. Client ... claimed that the apartment drunk is a woman with a felony and has a son who was showing client the gun. The son also has a felony. Client claimed that this mother didn't like client and made up the story of him possessing gun. An investigator determined that the drunk mother could not have seen client from her vantage point. He story didn't make sense. When client was pressed why the gun was in his laundry basket with his DNA on it, he replied that the mother's son ran into his apartment and hid it in client's laundry basket. Client claimed he didn't touch the gun. An expert subsequently gave the opinion that DNA could be transferred from clothing to the gun.

Young teenage girl client goes to house of former girlfriend to fight that girl b/c there has been some twitter smack folks! Fight is on! Client wins! BUT Client is also accused of stealing a cell p ... hone from a teacher. The cell phone theft stuck. I argued to prosecutor that this was mutual combat, not an assault.

In one case, a fellow student snitched on client that client stole a teacher's cell phone. Turns out the snitch is a thief and untrustworthy. In the second case, the evidence showed at most that clie ... nt only participated in selling stolen property, but did not actually commit the theft. We gave the prosecution a husk and did a deferred probation on a Driving While License Suspended. Not bad!
