Excellent Lawyer

Great attorney

Phil's the man

My life was miserable, I was addicted to meth, and I was facing two felony charges + some misdemeanors. We searched for the right lawyer and me and my dad decided Phil was our guy. He didn't promise anything he couldn't do. Phil gave it to me straight, he said you need to go get help or that I would go to prison. So serenity star in smithville texas took me in where I spent 7 months becoming close to God and remembering who I was. Phil kept a close eye on my progress and I felt like what really mattered to him was that I changed my life forever. I've been clean for a year now, regularly attend meetings, raise two kids with my girlfriend, attend church, and work 40+ hrs a week. Phil was a huge part of me being able to be who I am today. Austin Barrett - client more than once

Phil and Lisa Baker are the definition of hard work and getting justice! He's not just your attorney either. He treats you like a friend with respect and tries to make your legal situation as comfortable as possible, while the client just works towards a better future for them. He's quick too! He starts working your case asap, along with tons of other clients and cases, too. I wonder how he even finds 6-8 hours to get sleep lol. Peace of mind

I had two felonies and a misdemeanor I hired phil after hiring a Nother attorney to do the job that attorney that I hired in the beginning was trying to get me prison time and he cannot do know better when I hired Phil he said he would work hard for me and my family to get this taken care of and he done so I recommend phil to anyone that is serious about taking care of their legal problems he is top notch he's an awesome guy very dependable always there when you call him and if not him his wife answers his paralegal and she is super nice and when they say they are going to do something they get the job done they make a great team I recommend if you're looking for a great attorney Phil is the way to go ....

Good experience Good outcome

Phil Baker is not only knowledgable and professional but very personable and caring. He returns your calls promptly and gives you his full attention. He truly wanted the best outcome and fought for it and got it. He was able to handle our case outside of the courtroom since we lived a distance away. He exceeded my expectations. Truly an Attorney who cares!

Truly speaking from the heart...Mr Baker is a very friendly and personable attorney. But do not let that fool you, he is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, and will tell it to you straight. I felt like he was truly concerned and was looking out for my well being. He wanted the best for ME! I wish we contacted him sooner. There were steps that we should have done to prevent the escalation of our case. With Mr Bakers counsel we turned what could have been a felony into a class C-misdemeanor (which is only a small fine)! If you get in trouble, this IS the man you WANT in your corner! Not only was he my attorney he wanted to be my friend. After my case was over he still texted me to see how I was, that means a lot. He is not only a good attorney, but also a good man.

All the qualities you should look for in any attorney

Phil was my attorney on a felony case and I came away from the ordeal satisfied that I had made the right choice in hiring him. There are a number of things that stand out about him in retrospect. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for the law. His knowledge of the local players involved. The rapport I was able to develop with him and the personal interest he took in my case. His availability whenever I had a question, concern or need for moral support. His no bullshit counsel that enabled me to navigate through a harrowing process and make important decisions about my case that were informed. DUI Case

After being charged with a DUI at the age of 18, I felt as if my life had been ruined and my record had been tarnished forever. The small glimmer of hope rested in the hand of the lawyer we chose: Mr. Phil Baker. Phil presented hope when I initially had none. During the trial we were faced with an extremely tough prosecuting attorney and a judge who sided with the prosecutor on nearly every account. Yet due to Phil's diligence and knowledge of law he presented an argument which the jury couldn't simply ignore. Thanks to Phil Baker I received a non guilty verdict and was able to go about the rest of my life with a clean record. The fee is certainly worth his services.
