Complete DWI case dismissal - Job Well Done!!!

Awesome attorney

I had never been in trouble with the law before and was unsure and a little scared as to how things would go for me on my first Dwi. He was always there for me when I needed him to answer any questions and always reassured me that everything was going to be fine. Made me feel comfortable with everyth...ing and fought to get me the best plea deal. Got a PTD and will be off my record in a year! Would recommend him to anyone I know! Great response time and easy to talk to! I would definitely recommend using him as your attorney!!

Almost Three Years – Blessed with Great Attorney and Staff

Review 1/2My brother got into some trouble almost three years ago now and we are still dealing with the aftermath. This is a long review because I know that this is probably a stressful time if you are also looking for an attorney and when we were looking it was hard to find any information about one... over another. And to be totally honest we originally went there because of the free consult. Figured if we hated him I would move on to one of the guys we had to pay for a consult that I had scheduled for the next day. For those who don’t want to read something super long here is a quick recap of how the last three years have gone – felony possession + dui, felony possession, sentence reduction, drug program opportunity, misdemeanor charge from vindictive ex gf, combination of sentences for multiple charges, probation, probation violation (sigh), arrest, probation, arrested again! (double sigh), SATF (substance abuse treatment facility), misdemeanor charges dismissed, released on probation, clean for over a year, on track to be off probation early…No Prison and STILL HAVE MR. WALLER. Oh and some point during that I had to have Waller post one of the bails /facepalm. To sum it up – the first charge kinda spiraled and whether you will be dealing with something for the first time or not; for one charge or multiple, or for felony or misdemeanor this law office can def present every option available to you. Coming from someone that literally went from dealing with nothing to dealing with all of the above LOL. I can say 1000% that I am still very happy with my decision to have chosen Mr. Waller as his defense attorney not only because of how much he helped my brother (even when my brother seemed like he didn’t want any) but because everyone in that office is like family and always seemed to have our backs. I could call or text about anything that I had a question about and someone would find a way to help me. If you are seriously looking for someone who will have your best interest at heart I wouldn’t look any further and would def. suggest that you at least go for the consult. My brother was picked up for possession and at the time had a bit of a drug problem which meant I picked up the responsibility of finding an attorney and taking care of all the legal things. It was the first time he had gotten in trouble and I was trying very hard to help him get back on track. I called multiple people getting prices and trying to get for a consult. One of the lawyers I called happened to recommend Mr. Waller and they had a free consult which was actually the first attorney we had found that offered one. Considering how much the retainers were I really didn’t want to have to pay for a consult if I wasn’t going to end up using them. The consult (yes turned out to be completely free) was very informative and really showed me that Mr. Waller was a no nonsense kind of person that wouldn’t waste my time by beating around the bush. He told us things like it was and didn’t sugar coat anything. Even though we were sure some things were done incorrectly during the initial arrest it was broken down how things could be twisted into a he said/she said situation with the police on the other end ie I would say a losing argument. He broke everything down for us including what would be happening and possible outcomes/choices and I was sold. Thank goodness for payment plans. Super important – would have had to pray to court appointed attorney gods if it wasn’t for payments plans. We worked out something that worked for my income and payment schedule. Not to say that court appointed is bad – its really luck of the draw whether you get someone who is vested in the best outcome. During the whole process multiple people and judges try to get my brother to simply plead guilty to things (one of which he was not guilty for) in exchange for reduced or concurrent sentences – UM no thank you! Take that BS somewhere else we have Mr. Waller fighting for us

Almost Three Years - Waller Took us to the End

Review 2/2 The system is slow. One of the charges took two years to see a judge. And so many random things can go wrong. For example, they forgot to update our attorney and sent a court date notice to well no one. By the time we found out we had missed it – Guess who you call to make sure a warrant... isn’t issued (your awesome attorney). Guess who you can check in with on a regular basis for warrants and court dates – that’s right, the awesome office staff! Once he got picked up for violation of his probation outside of the county near the holidays. The jail didn’t book him because they thought Nueces would come get him – so he went off the radar. He couldn’t use the phone at the jail he was in because he wasn’t booked and they didn’t have a record of him there because he wasn’t full processed…Guess who I called to track him down at the jail that had him in a holding cell for days – Waller. Nueces put him in the med ward with a room with a phone that was deactivated so he couldn’t call me or his attorney – guess who I called to complain that he had no phone access and then he suddenly had phone access within the hour… See where im going. Point is it’s amazing how much stuff can go “wrong” and how much gets left unnoticed if there aren’t people on their cases. That’s just all the random stuff that comes up while waiting for the actual court dates. To be fair if my brother could behave himself from the beginning this would have been a very simple process overall! Originally we were dealing with one felony possession and a misdemeanor dui charge. Almost a year later (still hadn’t seen a judge for a sentencing – told you it was long) guess who got picked up for felony possession again…so yeah now there are two felony charges. Waller got those rolled together so that they could be sentenced and served together so that my brother wouldn’t be serving separate long probation for both – yay. There was an option to do a drug counseling NA/AA thing which honestly is great for anyone out there who can actually stop on their own it just didn’t work in our case. If it could have there was a chance to have the felonies cleared but it is what it is. No jail time for the charges just lots of probation. Then some probation violation – just a quick word here, no matter who your attorney is you should probably check in with your probation officer, you know especially for the first time. This led to a holiday arrest – see the note above about the jail transferring, oh and courts don’t like doing stuff on the holiday so he was in county for a few weeks. Released and back on probation – woot probation reinstated THANK YOU WALLER. Then someone still forgot the please check in the probation officer for your probation. Back to court a few months later and arrested this time no release.. You can see a slight pattern here. So this is what I was dealing with and the Waller family kept me sane and intact during all this. But still NO PRISON (prison not to be confused with the time spent in county for the arrests and while waiting for a spot in the drug program) – lucky him. He got into a court ordered substance abuse program. During that time they finally addressed the DUI and he got time served so he didn’t have to do anything for that. Another charge was completely dismissed because it was bull to begin with and Waller took care of that from the beginning, we didn’t even have to think about it. After a year in the program my brother is now clean and his PO wants to recommend him for shortened probation which is fantastic; definite 180 from what was going on when we first hired Mr. Waller. I am convinced if it wasn’t for him, his wife, and the other awesome people in his office that this difficult time would have been even more difficult and my brother would not be on the positive track that he is on today. Take things one step at a time and find someone who will take some of the stress off your shoulders and work for you.
