Our case was very complicated. Because my husband was originally petitioned by her ex wife using K-1 visa/fiance visa. They got married within 90days and they were able to file for adjustment of status but they were unable to finish the process because unfortunately their marriage didn’t work out. H...is ex wife didn’t comply with all the requirements the immigration was asking her to provide and just to make the long story short, his adjustment of status application got denied. He was so devastated because of his failed marriage that eventually ended up in divorce. And also because of his good career and job promotion that he had to give up because he decided to be with his ex wife and and start a new life here with her. At that time, he was lost and he felt like he just loss everything because there’s really no way that his ex wife would still consider to reconcile with him and help him to adjust his status here. So he knew he needs to go back home soon, move on and start a new life again. But what a small world for both of us, he was invited to attend an encounter God retreat in texas and there we’ve met again. (btw, we live in the same city and province in the philippines and we went in the same elementary school, we only knew each other by name but we’re never friends) To make the long story short again, eventually we dated, fell in love and got married but we knew that he still needs to go back home but at the same time we are finding alternative ways for him to be able to stay here and eventually adjust his status here. We did our research and we’ve met several lawyer’s to seek for their legal advice and all of them was telling us the same thing over and over. Because technically with the k1 visa, only his ex wife can adjust his status. So basically, everybody was telling us that he needs to go back home and just file for a new petition for him.. but we didn’t give up, we believe that there must be this one good immigration lawyer who would take our case and fight for us. And thank God i found Alex. i scheduled an appointment with him over the phone, i told him our story and right there and then he confidently told me that there’s hope for both of us and he would accept our case and my husband doesn’t need to go back home while his case is still pending. He was very honest to tell me that our case is going to be long process but we didn’t mind that at all as long as he can stay here with me and not be considered as illegal alien here in the US. The process took us 2yrs and 4mos to be exact but it’s all worth wait. I’m so grateful to say that my husband just got his visa approved and will soon get his permanent resident card. Truly, nothing worth having comes easy. But we’re still grateful to God because all things work together for good to those who love Him and to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) I thank Him also for the life of Alex and his team (maggie and vanessa). They were very helpful, patient, hardworking and i must say that they know what they’re doing. Alex is very knowledgeable and well experienced in immigration laws. I would highly recommend him to everyone who has immigration problems or issues because he would really fight for you..
