Stephen Fitzgerald Marley

I hired Stephen Marley after being referred by Lisa Solis, an attorney at my ex-wife’s law firm. I now seriously question that referral. I came into this trusting, patient, and willing to extend grace for personal circumstances he shared. In return, I received unprepared and ineffective legal represe...ntation. I was never properly prepared for court. I was blindsided by serious accusations, including abuse—allegations Stephen had previously assured me were not even part of the case. When a surprise witness came forward in court, he said and did nothing. His presence was passive, and his defense of me was nonexistent. I paid $3,000, which was $500 more than what Lisa Solis would have charged, and Stephen could not even get my name right until the third time, despite it being written clearly in front of him. I feel exploited and failed. This was a deeply personal and serious matter, and the lack of competence, preparation, and care I received was inexcusable.

I had the opportunity to be counsel against Attorney Marley and not only did he fiercely advocate for his client, he prepared adequately for the contested hearing, and continued to fight for his client’s cause. He is a well respected attorney in the Bexar County community and his client’s needs are ...well served in his purview. I would definitely refer clients to his firm-Bexar Lawyer

If you want a good outcome from your divorce I suggest you look elsewhere. Mr. Marley was unreachable most of the time and did not respond to phone calls, emails, or text messages. When I hired him he insisted he would fight for me and my children but in the end he did not. All he wanted to do was se...ttle. I would have had a more favorable outcome representing myself. Worst attorney I have ever had.

I hired the Alex R. Hernandez PLLC Law Firm to handle a simple family law matter. The lawyer I was assigned was Stephen Marley and worked with Jessica Gelabert as a paralegal. Correspondence from opposing council was ignored. Court documents were not filed on time or at all. Court documents wer...e filed with incorrect names, typos and with errors. I was overbilled, 10 min conversations were billed as 30 min conversations. My retainer has not been refunded nor can I get the billing department on the phone or to respond to emails. Finally, I can’t get anyone to respond to any communication. The firm is ignoring all emails, texts and phones calls. They don’t have a physical office, only virtual, so you can’t go see anyone. I got in contact with their Client Services Manager, April Busbee, only to have my number blocked. She told me she would follow up on the case and then proceeded to cut off all communication. I would stay away from this Lawyer. I don’t think it will matter, but I’m going to file a complaint with the state bar and see if there is any resolution.
