Happy Heart ❤️

Our family recently reached out to Mrs. Whitley’s law firm mind you we’ve never had to seek much less hire a attorney. We called to ask general questions expecting to have to wait weeks to see her and much to our surprise she was able and very willing to see us the same day. After going over details... of our case she was 100% on board to help us. She assured us that we would be able to get all of this matter taken care of and she was right. In the end of this journey we walked away with exactly what we wanted. Along the way we were in constant contact with the office and everyone at the firm was always willing to listen and answer our sometimes redicoulous questions without making us feel like we were clueless. Mrs. Whitley was outstanding she new the law and we never felt like she wasn’t doing her very best for us. My family will forever be grateful to Mrs. Whitley and her entire team for getting us through one of the most heart wrenching times of our lives. She is now and will forever be part of our family. Ethical, caring & honest!

I had consulted with nearly a dozen attorneys over a 4 day period. All of whom told me that my situation was "hopeless" and basically a "losing battle." However, they were all very willing to accept my retainer to represent me?! I called attorney Whitley's office and had spoken with Kate over the pho...ne the day before meeting with attorney Whitley. I told her I was ready to just give up, since every attorney I'd spoken with to this point was telling me to basically do just that. She encouraged me and gave me the first piece of good advice that I'd heard in 4 days. I was to meet with Mrs. Whitley the next day and almost didn't go, as I'd met with 3 attorneys earlier that day who did nothing but discourage me. I figured what was Mrs. Whitley going to tell that was different? Plus, a huge storm was hitting the area. But I remembered how gracious Kate was to me over the phone the day before, so I turned the car around & met with Mrs. Whitley. She reviewed my documents & asked me why I was so downtrodden? I told her what the other attorneys had said to me, and she actually took the time to go over my documents with me and cross referenced her explanation with actual law books to backup her explanation. She showed me that on the surface it may've looked bad, but she showed me, using the actual law, that I had a very strong case! At this point I had my first glimmer of hope. She also went on to tell me the following: "Your current attorney has put together a very strong case for you, and in my professional opinion, I think you should let him see it through. I feel it would be unethical for me to jump into your case right in the middle. If things go well for you in court next week, thank your attorney & continue with him. If things do not go the way you wanted and you feel like you still want to make a change, then I would be happy to represent you." I cannot begin to express how rare, odd and completely unheard of, this kind of honesty was to hear! Especially since I'd spoken with nearly a dozen lawyers before Mrs. Whitley! Attorney Whitley gave me a quick outline of how she would approach my case & told me not to lose hope, because I was fighting the "good fight!" Mrs. Whitley treated me like a human being who had been going through a very difficult time. We never even discussed a retainer! Kate called me the following week just to check on me and to see how things went in court? I went to court the following week & things did in fact go well. It's not over yet, but I will be contacting attorney Whitley to represent me in the next leg of my proceeding. And I will do this for the simple fact that she & her office staff showed me grace, honesty, ethics, caring and humanity.

Excellent Family Lawyer...Highly Recommend!

I retained Ms. Whitley for a battle over custody and visitation with my son's mother. Though my case was far from simple, Ms. Whitley was able to deftly handle my case with care and consideration for both the emotional and legal sides. When I first decided to take my child's mother to court, I was ve...ry wary and doubtful that my case would go my way and be resolved satisfactorily. Luckily, my doubts were soon soothed by Ms. Whitley's competent and kind manner as well as her obvious dedication. With her help, I was able to obtain the amount of time I wanted with my son and settle my custody matter with a minimum of stress and trouble. I was always kept informed and felt that Ms. Whitley and her legal team truly cared about my case. Of course, my son's mother did everything she could to derail my case but fortunately she was unsuccessful due to Ms. Whitley's skill and diligence. I would highly recommend Ms. Whitley to anyone seeking a satisfactory and rewarding legal experience.

Nothing but the best things to say about V&W.

I have nothing but the best things to say about V&W. They have been the most wonderful attorneys through the worst situation of my life. They have been aggressive in the courtroom, but kind and understanding with me and my family. They have worked hard and diligently and looked at us as real people w...ith a devastating problem and not just as another client. They form relationships with their clients which help to facilitate communication and the progress of the case. It is comforting to know your attorney is really working hard for your best interests and doing whatever it takes to achieve the results in the courtroom. I respect and admire Deanna and Lisa and all of their staff. I have referred them to countless people for a variety of issues. I am humbled by what they have done in our case and amazed by how successful they have been. They have won when we were told it would never happen. They have crafted brilliant legal arguments that led to success. They know how to work with other attorneys to try and achieve an amicable settlement and try tirelessly to make that happen so that it is easier on all parties. However, if that fails, they are amazing in the courtroom and know the law better than anybody. I owe to them the happiness of my family and I am forever grateful and indebted for how hard they have worked as my attorneys.

Do NOT Hire her!

I hired Deanna to handle my appeal. She NEVER filed it and then switched game plans saying she was filing a motion to modify (since she missed the deadline). The motion she filed was so inaccurate and she filed at the last second giving us no time to go over it. When I called to discuss (which took n...early a week for her to respond) she placed blame on me even though I provided all of the evidence, she just didn’t read it, so she had no idea what was going on. I am so shocked at how much I spent for nothing to be done and I mean nothing and what was done wasn’t accurate. She came highly recommended and I don’t understand how. Please do not waste your time with her. I can no longer appeal my case and a year is wasted. A year that I can’t get back. There are so many better, more attentive attorneys. She won’t answer your calls or emails for weeks (sometimes months). I had three phone calls with her and two were under 10 minutes in the year I had her handling my case. She never would give me a game plan and I spent more money asking for updates and status on my case than anything else because it would be months without hearing from her just to find out nothing was being done but they were charging every email I sent asking for updates and not reading any of my documents. Please, please don’t waste your time and hire an attorney who will listen to you, read your emails and fight for you.
