I was born in San Angelo, Texas and grew up in Abilene, Texas. I attended college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where I earned a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and graduated with honors. Three days after graduating from college, I enlisted in the Army National Guard and shipped off to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The leadership, discipline, and attention to detail I learned during my time as a Combat Engineer in the greatest Army the world has ever known continue to benefit me and my clients to this day.
In 2006, I was accepted to attend Texas Tech University’s School of Law. During law school, I was a member of several nationally recognized advocacy-competition teams, winning both a regional title in mock trial and a national title in moot court. I was a member of the Board of Barristers and served as Director of Demonstrations during my third year. I was selected to become a member of the National Order of Barristers based on my achievements. I was also a member of the Texas Tech Law Review, where I served as an articles editor for two years. Additionally, I earned a place in the Texas Tech Criminal Defense Clinic as one of only 8 students selected in 2009.
After graduating from law school, I accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender at the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office in Texarkana, Texas. While there, I handled hundreds of criminal cases and represented indigent defendants accused of crimes from simple misdemeanors to first-degree felonies. I was also the Assistant Chief Public Defender at the Caprock Regional Public Defender Office. While at the Caprock office, I supervised, taught, and mentored third-year law students, as well as maintained a full caseload of my own and successfully handled several jury trials and appeals, obtaining excellent results for my clients.
I believe that zealous criminal-defense advocacy is one of the cornerstones of our democracy. I believe in working hard to independently investigate my cases and fight back against a government that all too often overreaches. I enjoy trying cases, and I believe that it takes a fearless lawyer to stand in the courtroom and tell your story.
In my free time, I train brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA. I am currently pursuing a purple belt under Rener and Ryron Gracie. I bring the discipline, drive, and confidence I cultivate from fighting outside of the courtroom to bear in every case I handle for each of my clients.

Mr. Pelowski represented me in a custody hearing for my grandchild. We won, he’s a very nice guy and works very hard. If I ever need another attorney for anything he will be my first choice. I’m very pleased!
