Going through an uncontested divorce is a complete nightmare when you have absolutely no clue about the law. With COVID restrictions and lack of REAL helpful resources (despite what texaslawhelp tells you), I was going through several hoops just to understand what I needed to do next to complete the ...process by myself. After 2 dismissed court hearings, I was in tears and ready to give up. I was referred to Ms. Blackful by a friend who suggested I give her a call because she is fast with response and results and also affordable. Not only was she was quick to assist but she understood the situation right away without me having to go into much detail. She helped me with my divorce and was a complete blessing! Ms. Blackful is honest, straight forward and thorough, listened to all my problems, and provided all the support I needed to close this last chapter in my life. At first Donnica was there for me and seemed really focused on helping me handle my divorce sooner rather than later. Initially she did everything right and got the petition filed right away. Covid did interrupt the courts a lot. My papers were filed in June but I got nothing again. In August when my... soon to be ex was finally served. I have been calling and leaving messages and go nothing. She started to be really short and seemed irritated when I would call for an update (every 2 weeks). Now I can’t even get her or any of her assistants to pick up the phone or call me back. It’s like she stopped caring because next month will be a year since we filed and NOTHING. Get someone who actually has your best interest in mind vs dragging out something that would be “so easy”.

Very Traumatic experience for me with the whole court situation, but Ms Blackful was always 100% honest and upfront with me. I appreciated all of the insight she gave as well as always being there anytime i had questions or concerns at any point in time and she is very non-judgemental. I couldn't hav...e chosen anyone else that would or could have represented me better.

Once Donnica was hired, almost all contact disappears. It became very difficult for me to get an update on my case, it truly felt like she just took my money and completely forgot about it. What should have been a simple divorce turned into a nightmare. I was told my case would be filed that week, bu...t after some research it wasn’t filed for 2 months after and I was given the run around about why we weren’t progressing in my case. I truly feel ashamed that I stuck with Donnica for this long.

We used Donnica for my husbands custody case in order for him to see his daughter. Donnica took time specifically for us to see her after hours and always made sure to answer or return our phone calls, even in the evening or the weekends. She took time and showed true care for us and what we were goi...ng through. Donnica was also up front and not afraid to be confrontational with the opposing counsel. She kept my husband calm and she made sure to always explain what was happening and would not give up till we were satisfied. Even though we are done with our case, she still answers my phone calls and takes time to help us. We have already referred several people to her and will continue to sing her praises. She cares about fathers rights and is honest about your chances and her rates are completely reasonable.
