I have practiced family law in Kingwood since 1992. Before that I clerked for Bivin & Brennan in Kingwood as a law student. About 5 years after being licensed as an attorney Bill Bivin & I formed Bivin & McNamara. In 2007 I opened McNamara Law Office.
I have 3 children who all attended Kingwood schools and a 4th who will soon. Her mother, Cathy, and I make our home in Kingwood and love the neighborhood. I spent many days coaching soccer teams as my other 3 children grew, and I look forward to doing that again.
Throughout my career, most of my cases have been in Harris and Montgomery counties. I have had cases in surrounding counties and even as far north as Greg County, TX.
I look forward to helping you with your family law problems.

I feel fortunate to have found Brian
Let me start by saying I highly recommend Brian Mcnamara. I have had to hire attorneys in the past and had poor experiences. So when I met Brian and his staff, I was pleasantly surprised. Brian was easy to work with, explained the process, helped me walk through what was legally possible and commu...

Nice Experience
I had a nice experience and my needs were fulfilled. The entire team gives a very professional support, and the response and clarifications were always clear, no law language. Easy to understand the process.
Bruno, Thanks for the nice words. It's good to know you're satisfied with everything.

Brian knows his stuff. His staff is great.
Brian and his staff has guided me through a divorce and two child custody cases. We won all. Brian is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. Especially in Harris county. His staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt "abandoned" by them. No, he's not the cheapest. But you get ...
Thank you very much for the vote of confidence.

Always Calm and Thoughtful
It's never easy to go through a divorce (or even worse, have a legal issue crop up AFTER your divorce) but Brian was always calm, even when I wasn't. Brian's demeanor and expertise in dealing with, what was for me, a very difficult situation, are greatly appreciated. I highly recommend his legal se...
Thank you for taking the time to write this. We know divorce is an awful time and are happy we could help alleviate it.
"Brian is an excellent family law attorney. He knows the law, effectively argues to the court, and he gets results. I trust Brian and do not hesitate to refer a client to him in need of a great family law attorney."
"I had the privilege of beginning my family law career under Brian McNamara, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything he taught me. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and sharp, with a deep understanding of the law and how to apply it strategically. To this day, I continue to value his insights, especially when it comes to complex legal issues."
"I endorse Mr. McNamara. He diligently advocated for his client in a recent divorce case on which I was opposing counsel. He is professional and courteous to everyone, including the non-attorney staff in our office (which as a former paralegal, I always appreciate). Mr. McNamara communicates effectively, knows and understands the complex legal issues that come with dividing community property, and it is obvious that he cares about his clients as individuals."
"I endorse this lawyer. Competent, compassionate and creative, three things every client seeks in a legal counsel."
"I've known Brian for 27 years. We went to law school together. I'm proud to call Brian a colleague and a friend. When my clients need a family law expert, Brian is the first person I call, because I know he will take excellent care of the client. He has my unreserved endorsement."
"I endorse this lawyer. He is excellent. He has a passion for assisting clients in this area of law. I highly recommend Mr. McNamara."
"I endorse Mr. Mcnamara. He is a truly asset to our legal community. Very helpful on AVVO and a great expert in the field."
