Parole

Susan Ashley is truly one of the best lawyers out there. My husband and I are incredibly grateful for her expertise and dedication. She guided us through one of the most challenging times in our lives—my husband's first parole process. From the beginning, Susan was not only highly professional but al...so genuinely compassionate. She took the time to explain every step of the process to me in detail, ensuring I fully understood what was happening and what to expect. Susan didn't stop there; she also made sure to speak directly with my husband, taking the time to explain everything to him, which was incredibly important for our peace of mind. One of the things that stood out to us the most was her availability and attentiveness. Whenever I had a question or concern, she was just a phone call away, always ready to provide the information and reassurance we needed. It was clear that she was fully committed to our case. Because of Susan’s hard work, my husband not only made it through his first parole but also got into a program that is helping him prepare for his release, which will happen soon. This has given our family a second chance—our two babies will have their dad back in their lives much sooner than we had hoped. Additionally, Susan offered flexible payment options, which made it possible for us to afford her exceptional services without added financial stress. We are forever grateful to her for helping us through this difficult time and for giving our family the hope of being together again.

Great Parole Attorney

We hired her and couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Our first engagement was at her office on a Sunday since that was the only day we could make it between our work schedules. We sat down and she not only explained the entire process to us, but she listened to everything we had to say. I truly fel...t like she was going to do her best to help us and she was so informative. We hired her. She allowed us to split payments up which was helpful. Throughout the process, she returned phone calls, text messages, and emails. I swear this woman doesn’t sleep! I truly felt like we were her only client and that made a big difference. You are gambling with your life when you choose someone to represent you and she took a big weight off my shoulders. She tells you the truth and with the system a lot is out of anyone’s control, but there was an ease and confidence about her that allowed me to trust in her work and I am glad we did. I was hesitant in even hiring anyone at first. I told myself, no one could care more than me: I can put a packet together, I can call on his behalf, and I will fight harder than anyone. While all of this is true, you simply need someone who not only does this daily but knows the ins and outs. This is my husband second time. We knew the odds were slim making his first parole. DWI’s the first time almost 10 years ago and now drug charges the second. He’s not only a repeat offender, it’s basically the same charges to the system. He’s a good man who made stupid decisions. Honestly, they dont see that. They see a criminal. But she showed them that! She spoke on his behalf. She showed him the man he is: a hard-working provider, a father, a husband, a son, kind hearted, the man who would give you the shirt off his back. She showed them that it was better for him to be home! They listened. I mean quickly too! She called to let me know she had spoke on his behalf and two days later, the website had his approval of first parole! If you are going to trust someone with your life, let it be her.

Susan Ashley ROCKED IT!!! FI-1

Hello all, Just wanted to Thank Susan for all that she did to have my fiancé’s case presented in front of the board. Our journey has been long and misunderstood but Susan listened and took the time to review his charge. We worked together so she could get the complete story from his background and ...why he was sentenced to 4 years over nothing. I too just like most family members know what it’s like to see our loved one’s get caught up in a situation and it wasn’t even their fault so I started calling around from day one when he was sentenced. Let me tell you I call about 5 parole attorneys and they were anywhere from $2500-$10,000 and they didn’t even hear my case. Some that I spoke with I did my research and the $2500 lawyers had nothing but bad reviews and how they had ran off with people’s money.  I have 4 kids and couldn’t afford to get ripped off like that. I spoke with some attorneys in Dallas and Houston that were good but wanted $5000 down and $5000 in payments which I couldn’t do that either. When I called Susan and did my research it showed she had been practicing for almost 35 years, so I gave it a try. The first time I called her she had time to hear me out and explain what his case was about and she said she would call me back. When she did, she had done her research. She pulled up his file from the county courts. She called me back and said she could take his case and then the question was how much??? She was very reasonable and for his case and my budget she was a blessing in disguise. She then kept in touch with me asking me to ask my fiancé questions to prepare for the Parole Board. She went to visit my fiancé at the unit and he was so happy that he was able to have someone on his side even after being convicted. I too did my part, I always relayed the messages and helped Susan understand my fiancé’s past because that’s what the system does, they throw curveballs and if your attorney don’t know- then we all lose. I mean who takes time to hear an inmate out, even while in prison? Susan did and she did everything she said she would do. She then traveled to present his case in person to the Parole Board. We were both Amazed!! Well after 20mths she spoke with the parole board and my fiancé will be home in 30 days!!!  Yay!!! She is a true blessing and a person with integrity and honestly and we are Forever Thankful. Great Job Ms. Ashley Sincerely, Audrey

"I strongly endorse Attorney Susan Ashley. I am familiar with the outstanding work that she has done over the thirty years that I have known her. I have referred her cases and I have handled cases with her. I personally watched Ms. Ashley pick a jury and try an intoxicated manslaughter case to a jury and get probation from a jury on the case. I also watched Ms. Ashley handle a parole revocation hearing and get a finding of no probable cause. She has skillfully handled some large drug cases that I referred to her. When I refer Susan Ashley a case I know that she will do a great job and that the client will really be very pleased with her representation."
