Parole

Susan Ashley is truly one of the best lawyers out there. My husband and I are incredibly grateful for her expertise and dedication. She guided us through one of the most challenging times in our lives—my husband's first parole process. From the beginning, Susan was not only highly professional but al...so genuinely compassionate. She took the time to explain every step of the process to me in detail, ensuring I fully understood what was happening and what to expect. Susan didn't stop there; she also made sure to speak directly with my husband, taking the time to explain everything to him, which was incredibly important for our peace of mind. One of the things that stood out to us the most was her availability and attentiveness. Whenever I had a question or concern, she was just a phone call away, always ready to provide the information and reassurance we needed. It was clear that she was fully committed to our case. Because of Susan’s hard work, my husband not only made it through his first parole but also got into a program that is helping him prepare for his release, which will happen soon. This has given our family a second chance—our two babies will have their dad back in their lives much sooner than we had hoped. Additionally, Susan offered flexible payment options, which made it possible for us to afford her exceptional services without added financial stress. We are forever grateful to her for helping us through this difficult time and for giving our family the hope of being together again.

Great Parole Attorney

I recently hired Ms. Susan Ashley to represent me in my case and assist in getting my parole approved. Ms. Ashley made and received phone calls to both my sister and myself. She requested and obtained all of the files from my trial attorney and was able to receive them and to fully understand ...my case in order to successfully present it to the parole board. The maximum sentence for my case was 5 years, including time served in county. I first attempted to represent myself and discovered I needed a specialist who dealt in paroles. My sister helped me find and hire Ms. Ashley and did so in time for her to get involved in the next attempt at parole. Because of her preparation on my file, Ms. Ashley's first presentation to the parole board provided us with the best result we could have asked for. You could say that we got what we paid for with Ms. Ashley. With the time served before going to prison added to the time in the prison, I served a total of 25 months out of the 60 month sentence. I suggest that when you are interviewing for a parole attorney try to find the one that shows a genuine interest in your case. Based on my results, I would recommend Ms. Susan Ashley. Thank you Ms. Ashley. Chris

Parole

I hired Ms. Susan Ashley about 11 months ago for my bestfriend/boyfriend. His case was a murder case. He did not murder anyone but he was there with his friend when it happen. Sentenced to 20 years in prison. The price we had to pay her was more than reasonable. He came up for parole in December 2019.... Ms. Ashley seen the Amarillo parole board on 12/4/19. The board made a decision the very next day and he was APPROVED! She took the time before he came up for parole to drive and go talk to him. We are very thankful for that time because she got to see and get a feel of who he truly is. She took a chance and the outcome was more than what we could've asked for. Wasn't expecting him to get approved the very next day after she seen the parole board. If you're looking for a parole lawyer. She is the sweetest, she answers your calls, questions, and very easy to get a hold of and talk to. It was because of the reviews before me which made me reach out to her. Shes here to help and we are forever thankful.

Very Disappointed

With power of Attorney from our son we retained the services of Susan Ashley to represent him at his 2nd parole hearing. The reviews do not reflect our experience. We thought we had found a great attorney based on her reviews. She is twice as expensive than all the others that we spoke to with a prom...ise that she will do more. After you pay her upfront you will be lucky to hear directly from Susan as we were always directed to Susan's assistant Grace when we would call with questions or updates. After Susan's assistant did a one time initial visit to the prison to interview our son we nor our son ever received any updates including notifications of a parole hearing date. We never received any copies of any written information that she performed on our sons behalf nor did my son. We had to call her office many times just to see if he had a scheduled parole hearing date and would reach Grace. We left many messages with Grace that we wanted to speak with Susan bout her procedures at the parole hearing and if she would call us after ours sons parole hearing to give us an update. During one of the calls to find out if a parole hearing was scheduled we found out there was a scheduled hearing from Grace and that Susan had cancelled it and rescheduled it for a later date. None of which was discussed with us or our son prior to us making the call to her office. Finally Grace received a answer from Susan that yes she would call after the hearing. Susan did finally call after the hearing but only told us our son received great representation from her and that the information that we had provided her for her parole packet she felt was very helpful in her presentation. We waited almost 3weeks to get the outcome we finally had to call the parole office ourselves to find out if he made parole, no follow up from her office after many left messages to Grace and one conversation with Grace who said she did not want to call the parole board because she was concerned how the parole board would react to her calling. The outcome was very disappointing as it was parole with a 6 month program. We then called Susan's office once we found out what our son received to understand what it meant. Apparently I had a number that rang directly to Susan's office and she answered the phone, told me she was very busy with another client in her office that she could not speak to me. I tried to explain that what we found out and her response was "oh good he made parole". I said yes but not what we hoped for and asked about the program her response was I am busy you need to call and speak to Grace. We called Grace and she explained the program the best she could. Grace also said that as a part of their services they would work to help our son be transferred as soon as possible so he could begin the program. He waited over a month to be transferred to begin the program. We called to ask for help and she never returned our call. We finally had to call the Ombudsman program and he was transferred with in 2 days. We sent Susan a registered letter requesting copies of what she submitted to the parole board like the parole packet and Susan has yet to respond!! Don't waste your money the less expensive parole attorney we understand does more and offers much better communication and results.

parole revocation hearing

Susan Ashley is by far the very best parole attorney in the state of Texas. I know because I have hired several of them in the past and none of them were able to get the job done as fast and professionally as Susan did for me. I was facing a revocation of my parole and the odds of reinstatement were ...very grim. Susan got me reinstated unanimously with all voters and I am at home now with my wife enjoying my freedom and life itself. The state of Texas and TDCJ are nothing to take lightly. You get what you pay for and I highly recommend Susan Ashley as an excellent parole attorney who will get the best results.

"I strongly endorse Attorney Susan Ashley. I am familiar with the outstanding work that she has done over the thirty years that I have known her. I have referred her cases and I have handled cases with her. I personally watched Ms. Ashley pick a jury and try an intoxicated manslaughter case to a jury and get probation from a jury on the case. I also watched Ms. Ashley handle a parole revocation hearing and get a finding of no probable cause. She has skillfully handled some large drug cases that I referred to her. When I refer Susan Ashley a case I know that she will do a great job and that the client will really be very pleased with her representation."
