I write this review as recommendation for parole attorney Susan Ashley. Susan is a competent professional. She is very knowledgeable about parole board and hearings. She represented our son's parole hearings. Me and my wife meet with Susan Ashley at her office in Houston. Susan was very thorough in e...xplaining the Texas parole board process. Our son had been incarserated for two years before we hired Susan Ashley. Our son was facing eight years of incarserarion. His criminal charge involved death, drugs and property loss. Our family was in deep turmoil. Susan instructed and prepared my family and my son's wife for the hearings. We felt confident with Susan guidance during the hearings. She always accepted our calls. Weeks after the Texas Parole hearings Susan Ashley call me and my family. She gave us the good news that the Parole board had granted our son parole. We owe a debt of gratitude for her service.

I hired Susan Ashley to help with my sons parole revocation. She provided much relief to my anxiety as well as my sons. Susan responded quickly to my first initial call as well as every call after hiring her. That in itself was very reassuring along the way. Susan visited my son in jail to speak ...with him personally which was very important to me and my son. She explained the process to us both and her knowledge as a parole attorney is vast. She compiled the needed information and since my son was accepted into a drug rehabilitation center she also coordinated with their outreach director to attend the parole hearing. She continually explained the process at every step. She kept me updated along the way, her communication was fabulous and although it may seem a small thing, it bears repeating as it truly did provide an enormous amount of stress relief during an extremely stressful time. She prepared for the hearing and the final result was everything we hoped for. He was allowed to continue on parole, his parole was not revoked and we are so very thankful with the result.

My brother is in prison just signed a 6yr sentence 5 months ago. I read the reviews for Ms Ashley and hired her . We had parole coming up fast n ms Ashley guided me on what to get together and even called parole board to get a sit down with her and parole board . My brother had 2 felony drug charges... and me and Ms Ashley drove 3 and a half hrs to Gatesville to parole hearing. We got there and she went to work . I watched and listen to Ms Ashley give a wonderful presentation to lead voter of parole board and let me tell u I was very happy with her performance. My husband was convicted of a felony & given 5 years in TDCJ, this was his 1st criminal offense ever. We were referred to Susan by a friend who also used Susan. Susan was able to get that friend set free on her 1st parole. I contacted Susan who reviewed the case & drove over an hour to meet my husban...d in TDCJ before she would say yes or no to taking the case. Susan wanted to meet my husband & get her opinion on the case before she just took my money. I was very appreciative of that as we had already paid so much in attorney fees. Susan met with my husband, got more details & decided to take our case. Everyone in TDCJ would tell my husband you never win your 1st case & all kinds of negative things. I met with Susan a couple times, got a great parole package together & would ask her questions & she was very helpful. She even contacted the trial attorney that we had used for the case to get more details & facts about the case. Once the date was set for us to talk with the parole board then Susan & I met to prep for the phone meeting with the Parole Board. We had previously met a couple times but that was all in regards to the parole package, case details & getting us to this point. Now she prepped me on how the conversation would go, how to answer & to get the facts that I wanted to share about my husband, etc… I had been shocked that we didn’t meet earlier to start prepping me for the call, but after we met I understand why we didn’t meet sooner as she wanted it all to be fresh on my mind. When the time for us to talk with the parole board, I met at her office & we called them. She was very prepared when she spoke to the parole board, she had remembered & had notes for all the facts that my husband & I had discussed with her. We worked well together, she did excellent presentation & the case was voted PAROLE on the 1st review!!! We will never be in this situation again, but I will definitely refer Susan to anyone that I know who needs a Parole Attorney.
