My husband was convicted of a felony & given 5 years in TDCJ, this was his 1st criminal offense ever. We were referred to Susan by a friend who also used Susan. Susan was able to get that friend set free on her 1st parole. I contacted Susan who reviewed the case & drove over an hour to meet my husban...d in TDCJ before she would say yes or no to taking the case. Susan wanted to meet my husband & get her opinion on the case before she just took my money. I was very appreciative of that as we had already paid so much in attorney fees. Susan met with my husband, got more details & decided to take our case. Everyone in TDCJ would tell my husband you never win your 1st case & all kinds of negative things. I met with Susan a couple times, got a great parole package together & would ask her questions & she was very helpful. She even contacted the trial attorney that we had used for the case to get more details & facts about the case. Once the date was set for us to talk with the parole board then Susan & I met to prep for the phone meeting with the Parole Board. We had previously met a couple times but that was all in regards to the parole package, case details & getting us to this point. Now she prepped me on how the conversation would go, how to answer & to get the facts that I wanted to share about my husband, etc… I had been shocked that we didn’t meet earlier to start prepping me for the call, but after we met I understand why we didn’t meet sooner as she wanted it all to be fresh on my mind. When the time for us to talk with the parole board, I met at her office & we called them. She was very prepared when she spoke to the parole board, she had remembered & had notes for all the facts that my husband & I had discussed with her. We worked well together, she did excellent presentation & the case was voted PAROLE on the 1st review!!! We will never be in this situation again, but I will definitely refer Susan to anyone that I know who needs a Parole Attorney.

My husband was recently sentenced to six years for two sentences: fourth DWI and violation of probation. Two days before my husband was transferred to TDCJ, he was eligible for parole review; due to being in county for 8 months prior. I won't lie, when I was looking for a parole attorney for my husband's case when he was sent to TDCJ, I wasn't sure where to look. A simple Google search led me to Susan's website and I hired her straight away. Later that same week, I met with her and discussed his case and she went to see him before... he was moved from county. She stayed in constant contact with me regarding his case and helped me to figure out exactly what we needed to do to get the best outcome. I'm very pleased to say that she didn't disappoint. She worked tirelessly on his case and as of this morning, my husband was granted parole on his first review. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing lawyer who does exactly what she says she will. She doesn't sugar coat anything and will tell you exactly how things go. She's very knowledgeable about how the system works and was able to answer any and all of my ridiculous questions thoughout the entire time we worked together. Hello all, Just wanted to Thank Susan for all that she did to have my fiancé’s case presented in front of the board. Our journey has been long and misunderstood but Susan listened and took the time to review his charge. We worked together so she could get the complete story from his background and ...why he was sentenced to 4 years over nothing. I too just like most family members know what it’s like to see our loved one’s get caught up in a situation and it wasn’t even their fault so I started calling around from day one when he was sentenced. Let me tell you I call about 5 parole attorneys and they were anywhere from $2500-$10,000 and they didn’t even hear my case. Some that I spoke with I did my research and the $2500 lawyers had nothing but bad reviews and how they had ran off with people’s money.  I have 4 kids and couldn’t afford to get ripped off like that. I spoke with some attorneys in Dallas and Houston that were good but wanted $5000 down and $5000 in payments which I couldn’t do that either. When I called Susan and did my research it showed she had been practicing for almost 35 years, so I gave it a try. The first time I called her she had time to hear me out and explain what his case was about and she said she would call me back. When she did, she had done her research. She pulled up his file from the county courts. She called me back and said she could take his case and then the question was how much??? She was very reasonable and for his case and my budget she was a blessing in disguise. She then kept in touch with me asking me to ask my fiancé questions to prepare for the Parole Board. She went to visit my fiancé at the unit and he was so happy that he was able to have someone on his side even after being convicted. I too did my part, I always relayed the messages and helped Susan understand my fiancé’s past because that’s what the system does, they throw curveballs and if your attorney don’t know- then we all lose. I mean who takes time to hear an inmate out, even while in prison? Susan did and she did everything she said she would do. She then traveled to present his case in person to the Parole Board. We were both Amazed!! Well after 20mths she spoke with the parole board and my fiancé will be home in 30 days!!!  Yay!!!
