Expensive and Unprepared

I hired Eaton Law Firm to represent me in a family law enforcement matter, and my experience was very disappointing. I overpaid in legal fees, yet I was never provided a detailed, itemized billing statement despite requesting them. I was also not provided with the opposing councel's evidence prior... to the hearing, which left me unprepared and blindsided in court. At the hearing, the firm appeared unprepared, key facts were not presentd, and the overall representation did not reflect the level of preparation and professionalist I expected given the amount paid. I am sharing this review so others are award of my experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering this frim to request detailed billing regularly, ensure they receive all case materials in advance and carefully monitor their account activity. I recommend skipping over this firm when looking for good representation.

Recommended 100%!

The Eaton Family Law Group in Katy, Texas was very helpful with my child modification case! The team of attorneys and paralegals were very empathetic to my situation. I can honestly say that I felt like I was their only client. They response time is very quick and accessing my attorney was NEVER a ha...ssle. They were always more than willing to explain any questions/concerns that I had. I am very grateful for the team that assisted me in my legal matters. I recommend them to anyone who is seeking legal guidance. They are an amazing team and group of people who genuinely care about your situation.

They will take care of you

Travis Eaton and The Eaton Family Law Group is one of the best firms out there. They are reasonably priced and get the job done. Could not have asked for better results or a better attorney. If you have any family law issues, he and his team will get it sorted out for you. Call them and ask to sp...eak to his paralegal Julie, she will make sure you are taken care of.

My Legal Team

The legal team you need when your baby momma starts acting up. Mr. Eaton and Michael played no games with opposing counsel.

Do not recommend

Look at the Texas Bar Association profiles for the lawyers at this firm. I should have done this prior to hiring the firm. Scroll to the bottom section for "Public Disciplinary History". [redacted] Communication On four separate occasions, I have had to continuously contact the law firm for prog...ress on my case. First I wanted to know if my suit was filed with the court. I emailed, didn't receive a response and had to call. Second, on scheduling of mediation. This is also when my case was handed over to a new paralegal. I would email, wait and have to call multiple times to get the progress on my case. Third, on my TRO hearing. I was told it would be cancelled, then told to wait for a call. When I didn't receive a call, I called and was told me the day before the hearing we would be attending. Fourth, on the completion of my modified order. My ex and I mediated ourselves after the TRO hearing. After two weeks waiting for my modified order, calling and emailing, I terminated legal support with the firm. Billing The actions taken in my suit were: 1) Filed suit as petitioner to modify order; 2) Drafted order to compel mediation (not filed); 3) Attended TRO hearing; 4) Request court for Amicus (which was later canceled); 5) Stop order on withdrawal of child support (did not accomplish anything since OC wants to see the final modification prior to signing stop order). This cost me $8750 as of this writing. Additionally, I had not received an updated invoice of my account and have asked twice.

Relationship: Co-worker

"As a fellow family law attorney, I’ve had the unique experience of working as both opposing counsel to Travis and now as an attorney at the Eaton Law Firm. I’ve always appreciated attorneys like him who handle cases with both strategy and efficiency. Family law is rarely straightforward. Each case demands a deep understanding of the client’s goals, the opposing party’s temperament, financial realities, and even the nuances of the specific court and judge. When I was his opposing counsel, I respected the way he pursued fair and realistic outcomes. Now, as a member of his team, I see firsthand how much thought he puts into every case. I can always count on him to listen, offer strategic perspective, and help shape the best path forward for our clients."
