Look at the Texas Bar Association profiles for the lawyers at this firm. I should have done this prior to hiring the firm. Scroll to the bottom section for "Public Disciplinary History". [redacted] Communication On four separate occasions, I have had to continuously contact the law firm for prog...ress on my case. First I wanted to know if my suit was filed with the court. I emailed, didn't receive a response and had to call. Second, on scheduling of mediation. This is also when my case was handed over to a new paralegal. I would email, wait and have to call multiple times to get the progress on my case. Third, on my TRO hearing. I was told it would be cancelled, then told to wait for a call. When I didn't receive a call, I called and was told me the day before the hearing we would be attending. Fourth, on the completion of my modified order. My ex and I mediated ourselves after the TRO hearing. After two weeks waiting for my modified order, calling and emailing, I terminated legal support with the firm. Billing The actions taken in my suit were: 1) Filed suit as petitioner to modify order; 2) Drafted order to compel mediation (not filed); 3) Attended TRO hearing; 4) Request court for Amicus (which was later canceled); 5) Stop order on withdrawal of child support (did not accomplish anything since OC wants to see the final modification prior to signing stop order). This cost me $8750 as of this writing. Additionally, I had not received an updated invoice of my account and have asked twice.

Horrible Attorney

I hired this attorney in May for a simple child custody case. The attorney and his office failed to keep me updated. I would find out updates through the other parent! Fast forward to August and we basically started at step 1 because retroactive child support was never discussed with the opposing cou...nsel, when I was very upfront during my consultation that I was financially taking care of my child alone. Don’t waist your money!!!!

Child support / Custody Case

Your location I started using Travis in June 2016, for a custody / child support case for my daughter. This case took sometime because for starters the father resided in another state. (Those are always way more trickier) It also had some set backs, due to the father not responding, and... additional request that was ordered, just to be certain we made every attempt to get him to become a part of the case. Not to mention having to make every possible way and attempt to have a man in another state served when they were always rejected. Travis was determined to get this case finished and through the hard times of it, stayed by my side determined to see it fully through. He told me one day, I will get this finished, I am not walking away from it, no matter how long it takes, we will get it done. In May 2017, eleven months later, I was awarded soul custody of my daughter. Even though at times, I felt like giving up with the bad news, of her father not responding or caring to corporate, to prolong it all, it was worth the entire process to see this day finally come and the order granted on a default. It was one of the best days of tears and joy, a mother could ever feel. I couldn't have done this without Travis, of going over and beyond and not giving up when all seemed like it was never going to end. I trusted Travis and I know he knew it too. Through that time, I had my moments of being scared and terrified that the day never would come, but with Travis's determination, he always kept me positive with it. Now fast forward, in December 2017, I received a letter that I was being taken back to court by the father to lower child support payments so I reached back out and have hired Travis back. I did the process the first time with him and he didn't let me down, I felt him knowing my case so well, by hanging in there with me, there was no one else but himself, I would allow to go back to a court room with me. Right now we are in the process of going back and awaiting a trial, but there is no doubt in my mind, he will not fail me again. Travis is a great attorney and someone I know I can count on and trust in. What makes Travis a great Attorney, is his care for his client's. Travis is one who will take your case and care for it, as it was himself going through it. Thank you Travis for everything you have done. If I know of anyone looking for an attorney for a Family law case, Travis will be my # 1 recommendation. Travis is not only an attorney, through your process, he will make you feel like he is your friend and always be as honest as they come with you. Hands down, he is the attorney to use if you want to keep peace of mind.

Great, honest, and trustworthy lawyer

Was amazing in helping with my step parent adoption! Help me also get the back child support that was owed to my children while all this was going on. Very professional and helpful the whole time.

Relationship: Co-worker

"As a fellow family law attorney, I’ve had the unique experience of working as both opposing counsel to Travis and now as an attorney at the Eaton Law Firm. I’ve always appreciated attorneys like him who handle cases with both strategy and efficiency. Family law is rarely straightforward. Each case demands a deep understanding of the client’s goals, the opposing party’s temperament, financial realities, and even the nuances of the specific court and judge. When I was his opposing counsel, I respected the way he pursued fair and realistic outcomes. Now, as a member of his team, I see firsthand how much thought he puts into every case. I can always count on him to listen, offer strategic perspective, and help shape the best path forward for our clients."
