Handled my case from out of state

Tim Powers and his staff were incredibly helpful at every stage of my DWI, from managing my case and response before the charges were filed with the court, through negotiating a great plea deal that was overwhelmingly in my favor. They worked out most of the details so I didn't have to appear in cou...rt numerous times which was especially important to me as I live out of state and traveling during the pandemic would have been difficult as I am immunocompromised.

Fair and Gracious Representation

Tim and his staff met with me the day after a DWI arrest in Lewisville. In those two days, I met with multiple potential lawyers, but it was his team who convinced me that 1) I was indeed guilty; and that 2) I would be okay. His staff negotiated a guilty plea bargain that made sense for me and my fam...ily. My life has not been too interrupted, and most importantly, Tim's staff has treated me like a human being through the whole process, and not like an 'offender,' 'perp,' or 'criminal,' which other agencies who I have dealt with during my probation period have. Tim is the consummate professional, and he hires only the best. He is diligent, fair, and worth every penny! I am super thankful for his services!

Could not ask for better

I chose the Law Offices of Tim Powers to represent me for a possession charge I received in Denton. After the initial consultation, Tim quickly informed me of all my options and ultimately got me into the first offender drug program. Along the way, I called the office with many questions regarding my... case and each time I was thoroughly answered by Tim himself or an associate. Each individual within the office was extremely personable and made me feel like I was in great hands. Could not have asked for better!

Court first timer but Excellent service and people

I've never been in trouble with the law and I never thought I'd be in trouble with the law but life just happens and I'm always wise when it comes to making a decision especially when it's to present or protect me. I had a conflict and had to go to court for it and I looked at every option I had and ...at first I thought I could just do it on my own but I kept getting letters from Tim Powers Office on their service and how they wanted to help me out and explained that they can guide me through everything I needed to know and prepare myself for all the conclusions I had, at first I didn't pay attention to well to their letters because of course I had other letters with different Offices, Attorneys, etc. but for some wise and real reason Tim Powers never stopped mailing me so I just thought "why not" so I picked up my phone and gave Tim Powers a call, they were so precise and very professional with introducing themselves through call and explained to me that they didn't want me to just choose them right away but to give them a chance to talk to me and explain how they wanted to help me out through my lows in my life and get me back up on my feet, so I went in and put an appointment and they always let me come in at whatever time was best for me I was on my schedule not on theirs. I finally got convinced and hired them for my case and throughout the beginning to the end I had their full support no matter what, they were so real with my options but professionally, I loved it! They had such a great relationship with the Denton court judges and lawyers etc. they explained to me what time my court was, where it was, how to dress, and what to expect before even going into the court, they handled all of my paper work and read through it with me all I had to do was listen to them as they explained every single paper I was going to be given and the options on what to respond when spoken to. I was clueless about everything but they made me feel like I had nothing to worry about that's what there here for me for so they can help me through my lows, once inside the court my attorney was already there waiting for me with all my papers ready for me to come inside with them, they told me to take seat and they went up at the stage or desks and started filling out papers as they greeted themselves to all the other attorneys in the room, each and every time I went to court all I did was sit back and watch my attorney move and fill out paper work until they called me up to sign papers or talk to the judge it was amazing, soemthing I thought was gonna be so hard was so easy! I remember Tim Powers office would always call me a week and a day before my court was just to make sure I remembered it was great, before going into court I remember I was on my way to the court I was wondering if I could wear a jacket so I emailed my attorney and asked and they responded so fast! Now I have finally finished with court so much faster than I thought and I can't ever pay back what Tim Powers helped me through my lows in life, they deserve every star you can give them and everyone should go at least talk to them and let them see the light and guidance they have for each of our futures, avvo.com this is my story, Tim Powers ALL THE WAY!

Best Result. Tim has to be among the best in the State

I was accused falsely of a sex offense and was truly devastated. The police called me in and assumed I was guilty within 30 seconds based on total lies and no evidence. After one call to Tim Powers I felt at ease and he took a great deal of time to explain the process to me, what I might expect and... was very sensitive to the emotional highs and lows I went through for over a year. It seemed as it took forever to reach a result but I was given regular updates and the entire office put together a plan to get the case resolved. Despite the fact that the system seems stacked against everyone accused of a crime– innocent or not -- after 14 months I learned today my case had been dismissed by the grand jury in Denton County and I finally have my life back. I am so indebted to the Law Offices of Tim Powers. When even some of my friends and family members lost faith in me, they never did. The team effort they use in the office certainly got me the best result possible and reinforced that I made the right selection of a law firm. Thank you Law Office of Tim Powers. You guys are all great !!
