Run far away from this office

If you are looking for someone to truly fight for your case run the complete opposite way from this law office. I got a consultation with Tim Powers where he will tell you he has experience with what ever city you got arrested in. Will talk some big stuff about being able to get the best deal or even... dismissal. What is going to happen is you will never speak or hear from Tim powers again you will get thrown to some other representative from the office. They are just going to tell you that all the evidence is against you and you are guilty and try to talk you into just taking a plea deal with things like “don’t you just want to get this over with” and “if you just take the deal you will end up paying less” the lack of concern you will receive is alarming and surprises me this place is even still in business. This office only cares about getting the max conviction for the county and prosecutors. You could with your eyes closed pick any other law office and receive better representation. Hope this helps anyone wanting to know how the process will go for you by choosing this office.

Look Around

I'm sorry, I don't like doing things like this and hardly ever leave reviews but I think it is best that if you need a lawyer, and are going to spend a LOT of money, do some research and really check out the comments. Tim is basically a really nice guy, yet I have no idea how good of a lawyer he is. ...He showed me a LOT of interest until my check cleared. Then I basically never saw him again. Almost 3 years after getting a "deal" that I really didn't want or like, from one of his assistants who I told I wanted to take it to trial and she would have none of it, I am still having tons of problems with my drivers license and all that they will do at the office every time I call or go back there is just look it up and verify what the DPS has told me already. Then just a blank stare and silence and a " good luck with that". This is after they told me in the beginning that I had done everything I needed to do and that there would be no problems. So, I'm on my own, like I have been since I hired them. You are going to pay them a huge amount of money and wind up doing almost all of the legwork on you're own. And the best of luck to you trying to get hold of Tim once you have paid. They are very good about contacting you when you owe them money though. Anything else and you will be lucky to get a call back after you have called them seven or eight times. I'm just really disappointed. 4500.00 plus additional fees and I think they spent a total of about 30 minutes in the courtroom, which is right next door, and they won't even consider helping me with my license issue. Like I said, check has already been cashed. I'm sure for another 4K they might actually help me get my license issue handled. I hate being sarcastic but I am really upset.

We thought we were paying for Mr. Powers to represent us, not an Associate.

Mr. Power's office represented us on a DWI case. Our initial meeting he was fantastic, Tim told us how he wants to personally represent us & walked us through his strategy. We paid his retainer & spoke to him one other time. Mr. Powers would not return our calls after multiple messages. Instead we c...ould only speak to his front desk receptionists or office assistants. Next, we were assigned to one of his staff Attorney's. Not someone we would have picked, however we had already paid a retainer. We then spent months being put through the system & received a typical plea bargain (BTW-If we wanted to go to court vs the plea, it was a whole new fee). Mr. Powers sold us hat he would personally represent us, however he pushed to us to an staff associates. In summary , we thought we were paying for Tim to represent us, not an Associate.
