I have been practicing law for over 30 years. I was a Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney for almost 14 years and prosecuted everything from shoplifting to murder. I worked with the Narcotic Task Force for two years and prosecuted asset seizures and forfeitures as well. I have tried hundreds of cases, both prosecution and defense, during my legal career.
I am the Past President of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and I am court-approved to receive appointments in Tarrant County. I also handle criminal law cases in Parker and Wise Counties as well. I am also licensed to practice in the Northern District of Texas and have defended a client in Houston in the Southern District.
I pride myself on individual attention to each client and working hard to provide the best and most vigorous representation possible.

Amazing lawyer
Ms.Minick was my court appointed attorney and she was amazing at helping me through my case. Since it was my first time ever being in court or having to go through all that she helped me make decisions and guide me through the process. She got my case dismissed. This was the best experience I’ve had ...

Saved me from a year in State Jail!
I had a possession - cont sub <1g, had served 2 years of my probation as well as completed all fees, classes and appointed programs. Excellent Attorney
Mrs. Minick got my probation reinstated when the state was offering 4 years TDC. She was kind and gracious. She doesn't work just to work but because she's passionate to help others. Her heart of servitude is beautiful. Thank you for all you do!

Defense Investigator
I have worked several cases with Ms. Minick as her Investigator. She does care greatly about each and everyone of her clients. She demands that no stone be left unturned in defending her client. I work for a number of attorneys but Kim is absolutely among the best.
"Kim Minick is an extremely knowledgeable and gifted defense attorney. I have personally worked with her on cases and have observed her hard work, dedication, and professionalism. She is not only very skilled, but also has a great relationship with judges and prosecutors in Tarrant County. I highly recommend her."
"Every time we've spoken, I've left knowing more about the practice of law. Kim has always been friendly, professional and knowledgable, and makes Tarrant County a better place to practice law."
".I had a client in FTW who was charged with possesion of bath salts. I called Kim to talk to the judge about her potential bond forfeiture. She went ahead and retrieved the discovery, looked up the chemical name in the code, called the lab tech, found out it was NOT illegal, and called the prosecutor. The client was about to be jailed again for not reporting on her bond, but after Kim's investigation, the prosecutor dismissed the case. Kim went way over and above on a case that she was not even hired on. It was very impressive. I can only imagine what she does for her own clients."
