It was my 3rd repeated offense for possession of controlled substance under a gram which is a state felony, and I was stressing they were enhancing it and I was going away for a few years. I was shocked when she came up to me and said I had two options 5 years defer...red adjudication probation and I said no just lock me up let me do my time because I know I can't behave for 5 years. Then she said the other option was 1244A which was a 90 day turn around in Tarrant county jail with no kind of probation or anything else but would result in having a felony conviction. So I took the 1244A because county time is 2 for 1 unless u make trusty then it's 3 for 1. I was out in 40 days because I was trusty for a week. Kim was a God sent! I got arrested on a Sunday night and got out on Monday evening. I took Tuesday to research lawyers and hired her on Wednesday. By FRIDAY she had my charges dropped and I didn't have to go to trial. (felony and misdemeanor) Just talking with her on the phone I knew I had picked the... right lawyer.
