I have been practicing elder amd special needs law since 2008 and focus primarily on Medicaid, SSI, Disability, Veteran’s Aid & Attendance benefits, Special Needs Trusts, Estate Planning, Guardianships, and Probate.
I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrated in Economics and Management from The University of Texas at Arlington, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2003. I then attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law).
I have practiced in the areas of Oil & Gas Law, Real Estate Law, Family Law, and Personal Injury Law. However, I found Elder Law was the area I connected with most.
I serve on the Board of the Texas Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Advisory Council for Community Hospice of Texas. I am also a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Probate Bar Assocation, the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section of the Texas Bar, the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society (TAGS) and Rotary International.
I participate in COAP (Children of Aging Parents) and volunteer in the Homebound Ministry and the Children’s Ministry of my church.

I then asked for guidance regarding getting my mother (who has dementia) getting health home care because I had tried once and had failed due to my parent's finances and I also...
Alan, I am so sorry you were not satisfied with the outcome of your application for the STAR+Plus program. As I was not retained to assist you in making that application, I cannot comment on what went wrong for you. I understand your frustration with having to pay for legal services. I do care deeply about my clients and want the best outcome for them every time. I am glad you were satisfied with the review of your parents' wills and the HIPPA documents which you retained me to provide. I wish only the best for you and your parents.

Our case was complicated to say the least. After consulting and working with three different lawyers/legal assistants, we were pointed in Chrys' direction. Thank goodness. Grandmother's estate wasn't large but had many components. Other advisors never explained to the full extent necessary what r...

Being a single mom of a DeafBlind Multiple Disabled child, I hired Chrys Jones to set up a Will and a Special Needs Trust before I could retire. I needed help in understanding what kind of trust as well as information about using the new ABLE account. I finally realized that my Will was the after th...

Within two weeks I had a cashiers check and the problem was resolved. I also use Chrys in the field of elder law. She is th...
