Very professional and knowledgeable attorney who is a winner

As someone who never missed work, who never had been injured on the job, I was shocked by the treatment & lack of care in the way my injury was handled by workers comp insurance. Kim handled my case in a most professional manner. She is a very personable & knowledgeable attorney who was amazing at my... hearing. She came prepared to win my case & completely dismantled the opposition, The other lawyer would attempt to make a point only to be shot down in flames by Kim. She dominated the hearing with her familiarity & grasp of Tx Workers Comp. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who was injured at work.

Aggressive Attorney Fighting For Injured Employee's Rights Every Step of The Way!

As an traumatized and injured employee with no previous WC knowledge/experience, I initially chose to have an ombudsman assist me with my claim. However, after having to constantly fight for simple medical treatment & prescription coverage, enduring overly aggressive behavior by private investigator...s, dealing with a very nasty & difficult adjuster (to put it lightly) and an equally difficult opposing attorney, I knew that I needed to obtain an attorney for my physical and mental wellbeing. After performing extensive online research on WC attorneys and reaching out to family, friends, and neighbors, one attorney (Atty. Kim Wyatt) along with Law Offices Bailey & Galyen were consistently referred to me. With the lack of quality WC attorneys in the DFW area, I knew if I was consistently hearing that Atty. Wyatt was the best of the best (hands down) then I needed to contact her. My first consultation with Atty. Wyatt was thorough and in-depth. She not only obtained a detailed summary of my WC claim thus far, but she truly LISTENED to me, something I have not felt in a long time as it pertained to my WC claim. Not only did she give me the time to be heard, she instantly took on my case, filed representation with TDI-DWC within 48hrs of our initial consultation and began aggressively tackling my claim. Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Atty. Wyatt and her staff as we continue to work through my WC claim, having assisted me in FINALLY received prescriptions and medical care I so desperately needed in the meantime. I do want to say, as like ALL injured, and non-working employees, I unfortunately have nothing but time....ALL DAY LONG to worry and dwell on my injury, my pain, my treatments, the unfair treatment of the past, and the uncertainty of my future. This can sometimes result in reaching out to Atty. Wyatt just to get some quick advice, to provide pieces of information, etc. Regardless of the reasoning for my calls, Atty. Wyatt has always responded within 24hrs (or less) to my texts, calls and/or emails and has provided with the the advice, clarification or updates I sought, and .....MOST IMPORTANTLY....giving me 1-on-1 attention when she does. Is she busy? Yes, there is no doubt about it. I would be foolish to think I am her only client and she should be at my "beck and call" but sometimes us injured (and non-working) employees can forget about that because we have nothing but endless time on our hands. I say this because, despite her big caseload (which obviously speaks volumes to her effectiveness in WC litigation), she ALWAYS follows up in a timely manner and, again, when she does she genuinely listens and responds accordingly!!! This really means a lot to me because I know I can be a little needy at times. Additionally, despite being in the middle of my WC claim, I can confidently say that retaining Atty. Wyatt has been 100% the best decision I have made. My only regret is not retaining her sooner. Finally, with all due respect to all fellow and/or previous clients who have posted reviews here on www.avvo.com, I do NOT believe this is the proper forum in which to post derogatory, personally driven, and blatant accusatory commentary against Atty. Wyatt and/or Bailey & Galen. As adults, we should know and appreciate that there is a HUGE difference between providing a "negative comment or experience" and posting spiteful, hostile and even insulting content. It is just not necessary. Just reach out to Atty. Wyatt! I can attest that she is willing to listen.

Pitbull in the Court Room

After hearing about the other lawyers out there I know Kim is one of the best. And I thank her for that. Kim is crazy busy, but she does give you several ways to contact her. Plus whenever I asked for a sit-down or had an extremely important problem, she answered every question and concern. When the... Work comp system is trying to break you, I can't imagine, now, having anyone else on my side. She really is a pit bull in the courtroom, and I ended up winning my case. I am only giving her a 4 1/2 stars due to her supporting employees. They are sometimes difficult. I honestly shouldn't blame Kim for this, but Bailey and Galyen instead. Kim needs strong supporting staff to work with all of her clients. As a person with a work comp injury, I have a ton of free time. This made for a bumpy start with Kim. But that didn't matter. She fights for you and wins!
