I don't recommend Jane Mapes.

I trusted Jane Mapes to guide me through my divorce with compassion and professionalism. What I experienced was the opposite. She delegated my case to her paralegal, and communication broke down completely. They were disorganized, unresponsive, and showed little concern for the outcome of my case. ... Meetings were unprepared, critical details were missed, and their lack of advocacy left me vulnerable during a difficult time. To make matters worse, I received large bills despite the poor service. My current attorney had to redo everything from scratch. When I filed a formal complaint after the firm shut down (Robinson and Henry), I received only a $1,700 “courtesy” check—no apology, no explanation. I do not recommend Jane Mapes or anyone associated with this firm. Clients deserve competent and compassionate legal support.

I was passed along to her by the firm.

Biggest Issue- won’t respond to emails and impossible to speak to. Even if you leave messages to her assistant Mary. I spoke to Mary more than Jane. My very first meeting/phone call with her she never introduced herself. She just said she works at the firm not telling me she’s my new attorney. It ...took 3 days to find out she’s my new lawyer since my last left that firm. She was also late to court. She told me to meet at a certain location at 1pm. She doesn’t arrive until 1:52 and didn’t notify me. Very sweet lady but she’s not a good lawyer. My lawyer before Cody Jordan was a lot better. He left the firm and I was passed to Jane.

Totally incompetent

DO NOT HIRE..So, so many errors made by this attorney. Her many errors have have cost me everything! She has financially handcuffed me and does not inform her clients on decisions she makes WITHOUT notification. With all your so called experience, learn to draw up a SWD!

Jane was perfect!

Jane Mapes helped me with a deposition I had to attend. I was extremely nervous not knowing what I would be walking into but Jane was there every step of the way. She’s super personable, funny, understandable, and down to earth and knows her STUFF. She was always responsive in a Finley manner. We pr...epared before my deposition a couple of times, and the day of she went in represented me and was truly there every step of the way (very triggering topics were brought up during my deposition) and Jane remained calm and reassured me every step of the way that I’m doing great and to keep on going. If in the near future I need representation, I will be reaching out to Jane!

Not what I was expecting.

I was looking for a lawyer and realized she wasn’t the one as soon as she accused me of abandonment and was giving me smart like remarks and made assumptions on my case. Next.
