I am the principal owner of The Swartz Law Firm. advising consumers and other attorneys regarding credit restoration (removal of derogatory items, building new appropriate trade lines, and fiscal best practices in this area) and consumer law. On the civil law side, The Swartz Law Firm, PLLC focuses on consumer debt settlement negotiation, as well as general, consumer, and commercial litigation. On the criminal law side, we handle all types of cases, from traffic tickets to felonies. The Swartz Law Firm also acts as a coverage attorney for other attorneys with time conflicts.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with Emphasis in Rhetoric and Political Communication from the University of Kansas and my Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan University School of Law) in downtown Ft. Worth with maxima laude honors from the Board of Advocates, trained to advocate and litigate with success for my clients.
I completed a fellowship with the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office and clerked for the Honorable Judge Brenda Hull Thompson in Dallas Probate Court #1. Formerly a member of the leadership group for Dallas’ Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League, Attorney Swartz, with cooperation from Dallas County Clerk John F. Warren, created a guardianship training program for Dallas County Law Enforcement officers as well as a new registration system within the online, searchable public records database which is accessible 24/7. During law school, Mr. Swartz became the 2012-2013 National Champion for FINRA’s (Financial Industry Regulatory Association’s) Securities Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Triathlon and was part of the 2011 ABA Regional Negotiation Championship team, and became a 2-time Public Interest Law FellowMr. Swartz received the 2012 Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation Scholarship for Ethical Service to the Community and has been honored as an “Outstanding Lawyer Under 40” by The Cardozo Society,
I spent 3 years as Managing Partner of one of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year finalists, 3 years as co-founder/grant writer/Secretary of the Board for the award-winning Dallas non-profit start-up theater ‘Upstart Productions’, and a full year as a stay-at-home Dad before heading to law school.

He is also a member of the the Texas Bar College, the Dallas Bar Association's Media Relations Committee, Publications, Law in Schools, and Bar None Production Committees. Attorney Swartz authored the Alternative Dispute Resolution, Defamation (Libel & Slander), and Probate sections of the Dallas Bar Association's Legal Resource Guide.
I received the Stars of Texas Bars award for his 2016 September Headnotes article for the Dallas Bar Association, and was recently recognized by Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2018.
