I have been a client of Attorney James Aulbaugh’s since December of 2021. Prior to hiring him, I had numerous meetings with other attorneys, but each one seemed to either “oversell” their abilities or wanted to provide a “cookie cutter” solution to my legal issues. Our next plan of attack was for me to apply for the Texas Veterans’ Court program. Fairly early on, James requested any necessary documents needed to submit me for the program. At some point in time, I received military orders out of the state of Texas, and James continued to be flexible to keep me updated. After being accepted for the Texas Veterans’ Court program, James and I waited… and waited… and waited. I was confident that he was diligent in finding me answers on the next steps. We never truly received any information from the Veterans’ Court Team, and I don’t know exactly how James did it… but after almost 3 years (now 2024), we got the resolution I wanted… a dismissal. More personal details about how James Aulbaugh helped me: James treated me like a human being during one of the worst times of my life. He was honest and realistic about why some things may have taken longer, or what things could look like in the future for someone in my shoes. Still, at no point in time did he ever make me feel like things were hopeless. The biggest thing I noticed about my interactions with him is that, if I reached out, he got back to me almost immediately! Mr. Aulbaugh was here for my husband and me during a very traumatic time. My emotional support animal was mauled by a vicious off-leash, un-collared pit-bull mix. My dog suffered horrible injuries and I received bite marks on both of my ankles. I was able to track the dog down. It belonged to a new n...eighbor. We tried to work with the owner in a neighborly way, but he was not being cooperative, lied, although we had a picture of the dog and Animal Control determined that it was the same dog after having the owner bring the dog in for quarantine. We requested payment for the vet bills and my bill from the ER. We didn’t want to sue, but only get reimbursed for our out of pocket expenses. Tragically my dog had to be put down one week later from the attack. Because the owner was in denial, and was being very sketchy about the whole incident, we decided we needed to engage an attorney. We reached out to Mr. Aulbaugh and he got on the case immediately! He worked diligently with us, keeping us constantly informed and also showed a great deal of compassion for us in this very traumatic situation. To say he was exceptional is an understatement.
